Elsewhere in one of these Sunseri threads someone said that Mullen had fired Wilson at MSU and Wilson shortly thereafter made some "free at last" sort of comments about working with Mullen. I don't know if that has been verified and the coaching world is known for letting bygones be bygones. If true it doesn't sound like Wilson would be the most likely candidate to fill the job.

Digging up some old posts about Chris Wilson, it appears he left Mullen after being demoted from DC in favor of Geoff Collins: Georgia Hires Chris Wilson as DL Coach

Then he was hired at Georgia by Todd Grantham: UGA hires DL Coach Chris Wilson

Weird how all those names are connected to Florida.
