The Jack Webb trilogy of Dragnet, Adam 12, and Emergency was ahead of its time.

Johnny Carson. Not this sorry assed hate barrage at 11:30 that passes for comedy. Nobody will ever come close.

Of course, when I think Jack Webb this automatically comes to mind.....

On a more serious note --- Sargent Joe Friday (Jack Webb) and Officer Bill Gannon (Harry Morgan) remind us who we are.

The Brady Bunch was a childhood favorite. Carol Burnett was one of the funniest shows of all time. I saw one on some obscure channel a few weeks ago and laughed my ass off. Harvey Korman would routinely break out in laughter during skits.

The Ed Sullivan show brought the Beatles to the US. Otherwise not one of my favorites.

Toxic masculinity.

Chuck Conners by the way had a brief Major League Baseball career as a first baseman for the Chicago Cubs for part of one year. He played several seasons in the minors before becoming an actor.

Just imagine how triggered people would be today if a TV show started with rapid gunfire like that.

Carol Burnett Show was brilliant- The Mrs. Viggins skits with Tim Conway. Conway also was a member of the McHales Navy cast mentioned earlier.

Speaking of the old westerns, there was a bit actor named Chubby Johnson :ugh: that starred in a lot of different western shows like Bonanza. The Rifleman, Maverick and many movies.

Vic Morrow in Combat was a series I really like to watch as a youngster.

So was The Rat Patrol with Christopher George.

Kung Fu

Another show I enjoyed as a kid that was ruined by the subsequent reboot movies.

As far as my favorite TV series? No question...

You, sir, are my spirit animal.

I have a personalized autographed picture of “Matt” in my office. Wife got it for me right before he died. Sent him a letter telling how big a fan I was, and he sent it and passed days later. I might have his last autograph ever.

Three channels and the quality exceeds the 1000 channels we have now. Just like almost everything else. Or is it our memories remember mostly the good and forget the bad? Ive been watching old Barney Miller episodes again. Quality comedy. And enough reality to make it dark sometimes.

I loved that show. My dad took us (from Lakeland) to watch the Dolphins play the Boston Patriots in Jacksonville in a preseason game. We stayed in the Thunderbird Motel. My brother and I thought that was VERY cool.
