Only after they raised your deductible and dropped uninsured motorist coverage.

Nailed it! I got hit on my bike by a Geico insured driver and they have crap for insurance and then the adjuster bugs the hell out of you to settle, settle, settle. Sorry, not good news.

Research the rules on establishing residence. When I was at UF, I knew a lot of kids whose parents bought a townhome for them to live in. After a year, they had established residence and lower tuition.

Well unlike some my daughter had no options. She didn’t get in UF first shot so I made her go to Santa Fe until she got in. Took another 18 months. But she is now a proud Gator grad. Some of her friends gave up and went to FSU or UCF. Quitters never win.

To simply answer the question of the OP.

No.

Had a great co-worker who was waiting on a liver transplant run out of time Friday morning at 6 a.m. They had her funeral today. She fought like hell until the end. Another reason to hate cancer.

I hope this turns out good. I'm going to start unloading the original wit-quotes I've put in blank books through my entire life. They will just be there always in blue.

"The people always tied to poverty are the have-knots."

"Nostradamus had extra-century perception."

Not really a sports topic, but wanted to share the great news my son was accepted to UF today. (As was our neighbor across the street.). As you might imagine, Momma was stoked. He of course is too “cool” to show any excitement. No idea if he’ll “commit” & being out of state will be a challenge, but wanted to share nonetheless. Anyone else hear good news today?

Truly wonderful news!

Now make sure they show up at home games! (If they do go to UF.)

I encourage every parent here with small children to enroll in Florida prepaid or your state's equivalent. My wife and I put three kids through and couldn't have done it without it.

I don't know how old your kids are, but about 8-9 years ago, after my oldest son was already enrolled, the State Legislature showed contracting with the state is an uncertain endeavor. Unless you were in for a certain number of years (we were not even though we had a decent amount already paid), they changed the plan on participants and added a "tuition differential fee" that is not part of the prepaid. Plus, as you might expect, those fees are really only charged at schools kids really want to go to, with UF charging the most. So, your "tuition" is covered, but the "tuition differential fee" still isn't, i.e. perhaps as much as 60% by the time my kids get there would not be prepaid. As a result, the 529 plan might be a better, and more flexible, option.
