You are correcting me when you are actually wrong. That post was on this board by a very active poster. I have no idea what article you are referring to. Whenever I make a post that refers to criticism related to how purposeful FF walks to and from practice this is exactly the post I am referring to. Unless you are referring to THAT post you are not correcting me on anything. I have never once referred to your article and have no idea what it is.

So for clarification I will state for the 3rd time....FF has even been criticized for how lazily he supposedly walks to and from practice. Even as others such as his coaches and teammates were reporting otherwise. And during the exact point (fall practice) he was winning the starting job.

Btw it was from a very active thread (7 pages if I remember) with a a shyt ton of responses. Many but not all negative but far from a single post by a single poster in moms basement. And on our board not on a board “somewhere in the world.”

I can’t make it any clearer than that.
I'm not wrong hero. I've said from the start I'm discussing a previously referenced article used to criticize Franks exactly as you described even tho the article was the opposite. If you are talking about some other thread and some random poster, more power to you. Again, random posters are critical of anything and everything. It's one thing to recall and reference a published article, that can be used as reasonable evidence to point towards some level of public narrative or sentiment, but griping like everyone hates Franks bc some ppl didnt like his shush move and one random poster criticized the way he walked? Thou doth protest too much.

Theres a couple of you that just dont seem satisfied unless you are griping about someone else and playing the "I'm a better fan" card. That's my opinion tho so feel free to tell me how wrong I am.

I have no idea what you are talking about hero. You keep jumping in telling me you are correcting me when in fact you are talking about some random article I’ve never seen. If that makes you feel superior have at it. If want to correct me tell me where I have quoted the referenced post wrong. It says exactly what I said it says. I cut and pasted it just for you and you still can’t accept it. Keep rambling on about your article that nobody had ever questioned or probably even seen. Don’t even know what you’re talking about.

All I know is Franks and Mullen performed well this year and showed improvement as we moved through the season. For the first time in over a decade we seem to have some real momentum and hope. FF showed some fire with his response to gator fans disapproval. Like Timmy's speech it seemed to light a fire so I am good with it. He backed it up.

......towards the bench. EJ is Mullen's guy, he can't wait to get him in there.

Bodes well for the Gators if either EJ or JJ takes the helm. If either is even better we are headed towards a huge season. Not sure what the plan is for JJ and whether he redshirts. But I’ve said repeatedly I think he will be the QB when we hoist the trophy again. I think he eventually gets the reins imo. If he does redshirt I hope he gets some strong looks in his 4 allowed games.

So if it’s still okay to say something regarding the OP...

For the “choke” I was so drunk I wouldn’t have seen it if Grantham had been sitting in my lap. But I still hold a grudge from seeing it later.

The “shush” I was sitting in the upper nether regions of the north end zone and would have needed the Hubble telescope. Later I was meh about it. Bad move I thought but meh.

I said I was correcting you once, not a bunch of times; relax. Statements identical to yours have been presented previously and, as ive now stated 3 times, were always in reference to an article that came out about 18 months ago. And sorry but a whole lot of people saw it; had its own thread and was a heated topic for a bit. That is why i have mentioned it, not because I keep saying "im correcting you." Your larger point, however, has been that Franks is much maligned by the fan base, even arguing he might be the most loathed gator. That's all nonsense. There are plenty of former players, even if we just limit it to QBs, that are much more loathed than franks. Del Rio and Doug Johnson just to name 2. The reason that I have continued is because the fallacy above, not who the individual was that discussed franks' saunter, is the actual issue. A random poster with a negative post in a thread about franks isn't proof that the dude is hated by gator nation. 10 random posters with the opinion isn't either. Franks aint danny or tim, and never will be. There are some fans that can take him or leave him and a small group who probably would like to leave him, but hes not hated by any significantly measurable number of fans. Claiming otherwise just makes you look like a finger wagger.

Oh, Im also responding because it's fun getting your dander up and it's the off-season.. You're usually calm and unflappable ;)

Let it go. First off I still have no idea what you are talking about. You keep saying you are correcting me but given the post I referenced you can’t offer anything besides some article I’ve never read or referred to. The only thing I can come up with is you think I disputed your article. Although I have no idea where it is it sounds like i could have written that article. I too believe that FF had a little pep in his step during fall practice. Started slow in initial practices but worked hard, studied film and demonstrated leadership.

We agree on this....message boards are fun. Very sports bar feel around here. Debates go around in circles. Soon we will be right back to your article that I never once referred to.

Franks won me over with his play the last 4 games. I was a huge critic, and although I wasn’t big on his “shush” in the moment, I’m not gonna hate the kid for it. Heck, he used it to propel himself and play angry. Keep shushing IMO.

Excited to see if he can build off it onto next year. If not, next man up.

Regardless of who wins the job this year...we are set at Qb for the foreseeable future. EJ, JJ and maybe Beck. The run we are about to embark on is going to be fun.

Robby Stevenson,Freshman punter. (I thought they were booing the offense, not the punter)

CAN PUNTER GET OFF ON RIGHT FOOT?

I remember this booing. I also remembered how it was handled. Spurrier didn't tolerate it.

"After the Houston game, Stevenson improved. He averaged better than 42 yards per punt in six of UF's 13 games. And the booing stopped, too, thanks to Spurrier's postgame remarks to the media that expressed his displeasure of a freshman being booed in his home ballpark."

As far as the OP's "traumatic" question goes, neither. Traumatic is losing a limb. These two are just irritants.

Grantham was just a shot from a Dirt bag Ga. Coach that really didn't register that high on much of anything.
Franks on the other hand did his after being Booed by the home town fans. From that point on Franks seemed to play with more passion , a noticeable fire that was not there before, I think that was a turning point in a positive direction for the Gators.
