I was another name over there. I post way more here than I did over there. I just remember it being gone one day and and being in disbelief. I just wandered aimlessly for a while and can't really remember how I stumbled across this place. Been down the rabbit hole ever since.

Is this confirmed? Definitely a different way of trolling. Either way it takes a lot of crazy to have the time to troll the way canething did and how long he did it for

Yes, we were able to confirm Lawrence of Florida was CaneThing, because he finally ended up admitting it.
We never knew for sure if CaneThing was a true Canes fan or if it was all an act. I lean towards it all being an act, and he was brilliant at it. We KNEW he was just trying to piss us off, and he still managed to do it anyway....he was that good. The guy would infuriate me and then I hated myself for letting him do it, knowing he was probably laughing his ass off.

It was late at night about nine years ago, GSMB, and Law, BNA, Blonde Gator, gulfg8rgirl (RIP) and I were meandering back and forth about myriad subjects in a thread that was totally unrelated to what we were talking about. Alcohol will do that.
Law said something to BNA that set him off. BNA lit into him like I'd never seen before -- or probably since.
Donkey's a no-nonsense ex-military guy. He can be very direct in the way he communicates. He comes across harsh. There's a bit of a facade. He has one of the bigger hearts I've come across.
I think I just wrote his eulogy. Don't croak on me, buddy. I can't carry that guilt.

Ox invited me over saying I was his favorite pumper. He told me he would occasionally act like he was annoyed with me but to trust I was his favorite poster. So I leave for stretches at a time but always come back. I need this like I need beer....I mean air.

This is true. I always said he was either a genius or a total numbskul. It was really hard at times to tell which it was and that's what made him so good at it. To this day I still don't know which he was. He would sometimes serve up some softballs just asking for it and people would pounce but he would never get angry or flustered. He'd just keep on doing his silly thing. When I think of some of the stuff he came up with it cracks me up thinking he was playing people because if so he was really, really creative.

I might have some fuzzy recollection of going off on someone, but I have no idea when, why, who, or the topic. I certainly don’t remember it being law, but I suppose it’s possible. I’d love to see an archive.

He would start miami baseball game threads and I would laugh my ass off at those who bit. He never really bothered me much because of those other ass hats that shall not be mentioned were way worse

When gsmb folded, i just kept an eye out. I think many of us had a feeling Ox would figure something out. I forget exactly how I found the new site. I didnt get an email or anything but I saw some "chatter" about it on the web somewhere so navigated over, took a look, and sure enough, saw law and ox and a few others and promptly signed back up.
