The showboat nature of this ploy, I wouldn't be surprised if they substituted WNBA basketballs? They are a bit smaller in diameter but we would not notice.

Out of curiosity, I went back to the 1990 contest. Yes, a little more creative but no more impressive.

Maybe it was the celebrity of the players themselves. You had guys like Jordan competing. It’s been a while since Lebron has thrown down.

Jordan had enormous hands. It allowed him to do things with the ball while in the air that others couldn't.

As impressive as Diallo’s dunk was, I’ve still yet to see an NBA player attempt a 720 degree dunk. To this day, this is still the most impressive dunk I’ve ever seen.
