It’s the pleats, man, not the creases.

If you wear a button down with a jacket, this sloppy dumbass thinks your dressing on point:

Sorry, but you make several million a year, in part to sell yourself and the image of your program. Looking like sh*t, when you can easily avoid it (and don’t have a Belichek resume to cover your sloppiness), shows a lack of attention to detail.

Also, great quote. I like that he is selling the school and overall UF experience. Really missed that with the last two bums. But, Dan should fix the dockers.
I'd just reserve a portion of the closet for the pleats. It won't be long before they're back in style. Dockers, never. Regular pleats, yes.

Ain’t that the truth! This season is so crucial. If we can keep it going and then pull a monster class I think the 2020 season could be epic. It also looks like DM is building a sustainable program. This could be a nice long run.

"Sustainable", yes! The most important aspect to what he is doing!

Style: I’m a shorts and short sleeve T-shirt guy. Dressing up for me means going to a long sleeve T-shirt and maybe switching to jeans. Always a ball cap.

However for those few occasions that might require more I like traditional suits and a conservative style. Button downs and pleats don’t bother me. Whatever one feels comfortable in is what you should go with. Never worry about what’s “in style”.

What I don’t like (but don’t lose a seconds sleep over) are older men who try to dress hip. Skinny jeans or these super thin cut suits just look crazy to me on older dudes. But to each his own.

I wear pleats. I wear button downs.

I guess some of us weren’t raised to wear skinny jeans with our underwear hanging out while keeping one hand on our crotch to keep our skinny jeans from falling to our ankles.

I wear shorts jeans and T Shirts...I don’t own but a single button down and pair of khakis...formality is not my modus operandi by any stretch of the imagination...I wear basketball shorts and a white T shirt to work and a ball cap 90% of the time...I’m not hung up on the way ppl dress and I think it’s ludacris that ppl put that much effort into it

Both of you are missing the point. You are not the face of the entirety of Gator football. Mullen is and in some ways he knows it, ie the Jordan’s all the time. But, The rest of the look is sloppy and dated for our program. SOS still dresses better in his 70’s.

It’s also not about skinny jeans or anything particularly trendy (I’m certainly not). It’s about not looking sloppy as the head of our enterprise.

Butters showed this day one and the shorts and T-shirt group (disclosure, when not event appropriate I’m in that group) loved him for his no socks, loafers, button down with a jacket look. So relaxed and relatable we heard. Bulls41t. He was lazy and disconnected and the Belk commercials were a mockery of SOS, Urban, and the brand of cool, aggressive Florida football.

Mullen mostly gets it. Sorry, but the outfit hasn’t caught up regardless of what most of us wear on Sunday’s.

All these little beta males wearing their sister's capris and skinny jeans are giving advise? Go back to eating tide pods.

No one gives a fvkk what he looks like. If he won games and built a program he could have worn lounge pants or these ghetto ass running suits all the time. No one would care.

I heard it’s best to avoid pleated pants when dressing for an interview, unless absolutely necessary. If you’re relatively fit and trim, you probably don’t need pleats.

Maybe he wears pleats to hide a large package

Really hard to imagine that there isn't a championship in this guy's future to those who pay attention. He's young and very motivated. You can criticize Mullen in many ways, but he sure works his butt off as a coach. Yes he gets paid 6 million a year, but there are plenty that will get paid the same and won't give a $h1t. I just can't imagine a better place for him to achieve that than UF.
Yeah, we just saw one very overpaid first hand! Or handout I should say.

Like all other threads about the football team or its coaches ... pumper dumper thread. Current dump is on the pleats in Coach's pants. Initial pump was about a great quote of his. OP had opened a FUNDME page to get it memorialized on a plague (in OP's backyard).

Because it's not contrived. Dude was giddy about getting the keys to the program handed to him. I love it
This might be his most appealing quality. He's pumped about being here. BMF told his story. I had another friend who met Dan Mullen and he also said that Dan Mullen was on cloud9 about being here.

Lol thanks

Agree though. His wanting to be here wasn't the quality that originally sold me on him. I'd be happy to be at UF too.

But as the season went on, namely the ut and Lsu games, I think his passion for being here began to be a part of why we were successful this year. The players feed off of it and it's helped restore the appeal of the brand. And the fact that it permeates everything he touches is really cool.
