Way too early to put Mullen on any list. I'm high on Mullen but that is way too soon.

Has this been done before? Either way screw it. Since the Zook thread has caused turmoil name the top 5 coaches in UF history (football)
1. Spurrier
2. Meyer
3. Graves
4. Mullen
5. Pell

Trade Hall for Graves. Before my time but I don’t recall winning any championships with Graves.

Doug Dickey: # ?

7-2 against Miami (Best record of all Florida coaches that played Miami multiple times and only one of two coaches to have a winning record against Miami that played them multiple times).

7-2 against FSU (Tied for most wins against FSU and 3rd best winning % against FSU - better than Spurrier, Pell or Graves).

Better record than Pell against Georgia.

Dickey wasnt the same coach at UF as he was at UT. His greatest UF accomplishment was giving HBC his first coaching job.

He actually accomplished some stuff at Tenn it appears (2 SEC Titles). I was kind of shocked he had that good record against Miami and FSU.

This illustrates why all the bs about Spurrier and FSU is silly. It matters when you play someone. It matters when you play them. FSU and Miami were not much in the Dickey days coached by such luminaries at Pete Elliott, Carl Selmer, Larry Jones and Darrell Mudra, . Spurrier had to come in and build UF up to even to FSU when they were at their acme.

Well FSU didn't start their crazy run until just a couple of years before Spurrier got there while we were under sanctions. I think Spurrier simply had less overall talent than FSU most years except for a couple. No way Spurrier has a 40% or whatever it was winning % against Bowden if the talent was equal throughout those years.

I think you are on to something. Mine is little different tho:

1) SOS
2) Urbs
3) Donovan
4) Sully
5) Tim Walton (OK, so maybe women's softball is not everybody's favorite, but he has won 7 SEC titles to go with 2 Nattys.)

Zookie was 18-38 in the Big 10.

He was fired from DC at several schools and demoted. He is an azzwipe in history of college coaches.
