Culture. Who set the tone for the culture? Who’s responsible for the culture?

Transfers no surprise to White as he seeks culture improvement

At times, I think the guy is so clueless it is painful.

So, basically, this is a reset for White. A do-over if you will. Our team next year will be nothing but Sophomores and Freshman. Good or bad, he'll get at least another year after as we will have to wait and see how they all develop. Can't hold White accountable with such a young team. He'll go through the same issues, transfers and it will be a rinse and repeat as the program that was built by Donovan withers away.

Mike White is responsible. If it’s not right he’s also responsible to fix it. It looks like that is happening.

For weeks and weeks we read comments about Okauru and Ballard leaving. Most even suggested they leave. Now we act surprised? Please. Stone was a surprise to some but not me. I posted the day before he announced that it would make perfect sense. I would have been way more surprised if he stayed.

Many constantly slammed Ballard but I always liked him and I think he will contribute somewhere. But he certainly realized what he was up against trying to get minutes.

In nearly every example on this board where an opponent transfers we talk about them running from competition. But because it’s Mike White it’s all about they’re bailing. Nonsense....everyone knows why they are leaving and damn near 100% predicted it and damn near insisted on it.

I'm glad you're perfectly fine with a Head Coach in Training for our teams. My guess is you were completely fine with Muschump as well. Some of aren't.

In that interview:
1) White seemed excited.
2) He got the interviewers fired up.
3) White's IVs should never exceed 10 minutes.
4) I like his term "size guys".
5) Yeah culture, we need more petri dishes .... drive & petri dish.
6) He admitted it was on him that it took too long to find the best version of this team.
7) He says he has to find a way to "sell it" to these young guys. Talking playing style.
8) Easier scoring sells it ... more scoring is what creates confidence and energy among these young ballers.
9) Does he inspire his team with this no-verve tone? White seems bored & boring.
10) I seem like a broken record ... but records are made to be broken?

Locke needs his injury "cured".
Jamanji must drop pounds and develop quickness ... and a camouflaged hook-elbow.
Stokes & Jamanji need to turn into defensive demons.
Could turn into a complete team with balanced strengths.
Hope we don't play as hard a schedule next year, especially since we got younger, less CBB experience.

Lol. My guess is you preferred not making any changes with this roster. You’re already down on the incoming recruits....something about Walker and Hill sucking.

Never once have I said changes were or weren't necessary. The problem I have, as you clearly support, are with the top, the CEO. I'm not down on incoming freshman, I've just heard this before. Clearly you support White with every ounce of your body and will do so till the bitter end. I'm not in favor of Foley or his hiring "Up and comers" as they haven't worked out with the exception of Donovan. Every other one has failed, miserably.

I get it, you love yourself some Mike White and will do so till he's out the door. I, for one, don't believe we should have dipped down in the ranks of "Head Coach in Training" and instead got someone with a proven record.

We have an issue with culture. The HC owns it. He's doing something about it alright, he's sending those guys away, others are graduating and we'll be left with a do-over. Clearly, you're fine with that.

We get it....you hate Mike White. That works for you. Not me. I’ll support him until he’s not here anymore then I will support the next guy. I’ll go to all the games I can and watch the rest on TV. Always a party. Always a good time. We just like Gator sports. It’s where we went to school. I don’t do misery well. These message boards are a great place to vent ones anger and disappointment. But it’s also a great place for those of us who just simply enjoy the sports. A true sports bar atmosphere where we can argue the two perspectives every day.

We get it. You’re one of the best fans ever. The best. Unfortunately we all aren’t like you. Some of us see a better road, and see when things are bad. Glad you blindly support our current coaches and just simply move to the next one when that time comes.

Just a Gator. But we get it. Anytime somebody doesn’t join in the misery the go-to move is to state they think they are a “better fan”. Those are your words not mine. I don’t have to share in a cynical, coach bashing narrative to be as good a fan as you.
I get it. Pumpers are bad fans...dumpers are realists who “really” care more. I’m not the fan you are because I get excited about bringing in some top recruits. You’re cynical because Billy brought in Walker and it didn’t work out. By God you won’t be fooled again! I will be fooled again...maybe even next year. But I’ll still be bellied up at the Salty Dog pre and post game acting like I’m 20 again. Sorry to disappoint.

Your attitude is dictating that you believe your such a better fan. You know, because you’re there, at the Salty Dog pre and post game. Your attitude is that those who don’t like the Coach aren’t Gators. My donations say different. No one said Pumpers are bad fans. You’re the one saying those that aren’t happy are bad fans.

We’re good here Marine1.

Never personal. We’re all fans and I’ve never called anyone a bad fan. I always acknowledge the different perspectives. Keeps it interesting. Board wouldn’t be the same without the give and take.

I really don’t care if anyone likes any of our coaches. I respond to posts about our coaches and teams that I disagree with. I’m content with keeping it to that. But it frequently goes off the rails because of the whole pumper v dumper thing. Personally I have never read anyone actually state they are the “better fan”. But it always ends up with one side accusing the other side of believing such.

I take the “sports bar atmosphere” literally and enjoy the give and take. I don’t know about you but that’s how we do it in the bars I hang out in. Never personal. Plus I barely know who I’m talking to half the time. You could post in 3 other threads next and I would be giving you 3 likes.
