I understand, but that was then and this now. Personally, I'm bolstered by the memory of a 10-win season in which we finished much stronger than we were at the start. I also think that the two teams you mentioned are going to face a very focused, considerably deeper and generally more talented Gator team this year. I agree with donkey. The trend is up and we have time to iron out the kinks on the OL before hitting the meat of the schedule in October.
IMO, many of the issues we had with inconsistent play last year came about as a result of the hangover effect stemming from the misery of the futility of the previous regime/season. I truly expect that UF will be a real handful for anyone they play, particularly in the latter part of the season. The days of poorly conditioned, scarcely coached, unmotivated zombies masquerading as the Florida Gators are over. There will be some bumps and disappointments along the way, but if the recent past is prologue, the future is bright.
