Oh, so the number of hs recruits who miss in college vs the number of NFL draft who miss in NFL? yeah, I don't know. yeah, no doubt it is far worse in the NFL.
Yep, that was the point.

Yeah, I have seen that. I don't know if I could find it.

Anyone?

Percentage of 5 stars that get drafted?
4 stars? etc
Saw that several years ago. Don't know where. My memory is that it was about what law would expect.
The theory being that if it had differed much from Law's claims, I would have remembered it and rubbed his nose in it. Back in the Urban era when I was an astrologer myself, I believed that the recruits that ranked 6.0 on Rivals were better prospects than those ranked 6.1 because their talent was commensurate and their attitude superior--not so likely to cause locker room problems, commit crimes, flunk out, etc.

I also agree that a high 4 star is just as desireabke as a 5 star for just the reasons AR says. Their skillset is almost what the 6.1 is but their attitude is better.

The big question is OL. I think we can have a serviceable starting 5, especially on the interior. We know Heggie ... can play,

Alex.

I’m not sure Heggie can play. He impresses when he’s in there, but he’s almost never in there. He’s on track to get the Zach Zedalis Award.

Not criticizing him, it has to be terribly frustrating on his end, but he’s always dinged up.

I still think Cleveland would be a really good safety and would be more useful to the team there than at WR.

I thought this was amusing, but intriguing last year. After the shoulder injury, i don’t think it could happen even if Cleveland and Mullen were on this board to read and agreed with these posts.

This is what I find puzzling as well. I generally liked our defensive performances last year, so I give the staff the benefit of the doubt. But Huggins was one of the first freshmen that stood out to me last year, with a really athletic pick in the opener. Stiner, to his credit, did have two really big plays last year in consecutive weeks(technically should've batted the ball down against Lsu). But the overall body of work does not warrant his continued playing time. Taylor either. We were probably going to lose to uga regardless, but those two all but sealed it. Can't imagine they aren't looking like better options in practice as well. If nothing else, the ceiling is much higher with someone like JH, and you could be laying the groundwork for a ridiculous Safety tandem by net year, when we'll likely need some help with losses at DL and Corner.

Maybe the most bizarre element of the whole thing is the fact that Huggins was this staff's recruit, while Stiner and Taylor were left over Mac specials. I can appreciate their not isolating the old guys and that may have contributed to the chemistry last year. But this seems to be at the expense of performance.

Quick question, how many cringed when MCWilliams made his pick in the Spring Game?

They’re huge on experience/upperclassmen.

Why? It the first competent thing Ive ever seen out of him. Why cringe?

Maybe Torrian can turn him around to at least be a functional backup?

I think he meant “cringe” because it means that he may get more time on the field.

With Steele and Elam on the roster?

if so that's a self-correcting problem.

It's the spring game. I was only shocked that he wasn't tackled by Dunbar and high-fived by Oquiendo-Johnson for the great play.
I'm waiting for the day when one of the pouncey's or big Trent gets a pick 6.
