This will probably suck as hard as Episodes 7 and 8. The one offs like Rogue One and Solo have been pretty good tho

Disney is ruining SW.

Solo and R1 were much better than those last two in the series.

7 was decent. 8 was awful.

Episode 7 gave me some hope that this trilogy would be decent, but 8 was absolutely terrible and I have little hope for 9 to save it. Other than the original three movies, I think Solo and Rogue One have been the best SW films.

The good news is that Disney isn't going to make any more Star Wars movies after 9, for a while at least. They're going to have some shows on Disney+ though.

The eighth episode was supposedly done by a director who decided to go off on their own and it caused problems for the ninth episode to reconcile.

JJ Abrams is doing this film and has worked with George Lucas on bringing everything back together again to tie up the saga.

For the record, out of 8 Star Wars films, there have only really been two great films (IV & V), two above average films (VI & VII), one average film (VIII), and three horrible films (I, II, & III). So if we're going with the trend line here, don't expect much from IX other than a great marketing campaign and a bunch of butthurt fanboys.

From my perspective I, II and III are great.

(Did you read that in pouty Ani voice?)

Yep. The original one and the empire strikes back were fantastic. The Force Awakens was better than Return of the Jedi IMO

Although I know you’re not including rogue one – I think Rogue One was better than the Force Awakens.

Rogue One and Solo were two of the best since the original trilogy.

Hell, the Cartoon Network series was better than some of the movies.

Rogue One was painfully boring until the final battle sequence, then it was amazing. I haven't seen Solo, didn't really interest me.
