As I posted in the noles thread, this is all artificial. They are overloading the class with corners and safeties while doing a piss poor job recruiting on the lines of scrimmage, QB, and running back. This is Chump-esque.

Here’s what I know. In his time as a DC, Grantham has always had 300 pounders at DT except 2 seasons. His first year at Louisville and last season when they moved Shuler inside because Slaton and Conliffe didn’t play well. Conliffe himself said, during the spring, they didn’t perform last season. Is he just giving coach speak too? Grantham playing a 275 pound end at DT for that many snaps is the exception to his career, not the rule. That is a fact.

Grantham is in a tough spot because he has trash to work with at DT outside of Campbell, who is serviceable. Hopefully Humphries can come in and surprise, but I dont expect that out of freshman DTs. Hopefully the 5 star o-lineman can learn to play DT, but I’m not holding my breath. To me, the next great Florida DT is currently in high school. Signing one DT in 2 classes in killing us right now.

DB/athletes are the easiest thing to land, and the players that Saban, Leyer, and Dabo dont overload.

I think this was missed. Jeremiah Johnson got a brief mention in the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation not long ago as a rising senior. I'll save you the click.

No. 36 Jeremiah Johnson, WR, Clinch County. At 6-7, 200 pounds, Johnson is one of the most intriguing athletes in the state. He is a force in basketball as well, where he averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers. He is committed to Florida.

I didn't realize 247 Composite has him rated as a 4 star, 365 national.

That's the big question. He could put on 30 pounds but become stiff and slow. Some guys can add weight and not lose much of their speed or athleticism. Others guys can't. I think his upside is worth the risk.

I just read this article. I have no idea how we're having trouble selling the top DT prospects on our situation. We have immediate playing time available and it's not like we don't put DTs into the nfl. We should be selling our D-line like we do our DBs. We put kids in the NFL here if you play DB or D-line. Come showcase yourself on the biggest stage right away. It blows my mind that this is a hard sell.

I think the problem is is that we are not really running a scheme that really showcases DTs right now.
