You realize most inside info consists of rumors or narratives about goings on inside the program? When it becomes total fact, its called news and is reported free of charge.

One of my first thoughts as well. I’m not saying you rule it out. But it should definitely be very unique circumstances. I said this even during the cycle that the risks just aren’t outweighing the reward any longer.
Even if they pan out on the field, which by all accounts he was, there’s just such a flight risk because of distance. We have to stop thinking this generation is the same as before. They’re not. And full disclosure, I’m not sure I was ready at 17-18 to leave all my family and friends behind and spend 4 years on the other side of the country. Everything from competition to injury to discipline is that much tougher. It’s a lot to ask and there’s literally no way to know how they’ll react until it’s too late.
If you’re Iowa or Washington or Minnesota, you have to roll those dice because of location. When you’re in the SE, and in Florida no less, you don’t. Hoping it’s all smoke and CS stays.

I saw some of this stuff elsewhere too. It will be seriously damaging and disappointing for sure - if any significant portion of it's true. One thing that does seem to ameliorate the situation somewhat is a post from Grimes basically saying don't believe everything you hear on the internet - plus the fact that some of the worst posts I saw were coming from "newbies" with little or no history and zero established credibility. I trust the veracity of donkey's input implicitly, which means that there may indeed be some bad news coming. But this "snowballing" effect just feels like some malicious disinformation may be going on as well. This is exactly the kind of crap I would expect from dwags and cocanes - may a pox descend on both their houses.

Look, I wasnt the one who said more bad news coming. I just know what I heard from trusted source(s) regarding the rapes, the second one being I guess somewhat more egregious than the first. They were only minutes apart.
By all accounts Steele and Hill were the heroes who stopped Jalon.
As for the other incident or incidents was also Jalon. One allegation (unknown reliability source) was a passed out girl. I know there was another incident. What I dont know is if there are two or if the drink passed out girl is actually the first rape victim from the incident in the news.
If Steele is leaving my GUESS is it is related to the stress of this. I heard a drunken alcoholica was chasing him across campus constantly accusing him or running off an innocent QB and calling the girls whores and Steele a liar.
