If you have raised a 5-star athlete and you see a bright, hopefully, professional future ahead of him, and you also are aware of how the NFL immediately knocks down anybody even closely associated with any legal troubles, especially around women, then you can understand why Steele's parents and Chris himself want to distance himself, quickly, from this whole situation. It is also why, as others have mentioned here, there will be a significant negative selling fallout from this on the trail, with only a "take my word for it" to fall back on from Mullen and team.

Not saying Dan can't come back from this, but it is going to be even harder now, and things weren't flowing in wine and roses out there already.
We are wound too tight. I blame education and testing. :)

From people in a 247 thread, Steele came in behaving like a diva. He was constantly in coaches/support staff ears complaining about this, complaining about that. He was very high maintenance. So maybe the coaches tuned him out a little bit. You know like in the story about the boy that cried wolf?
Every year by many people.

People have to make judgement calls all the time and few consider context.

This thread has turned into an excuse for a couple of posters to go at some others they clearly have long standing, deep seeded issues with.

Fellas, you are all adults, if you cant stand someone just say so. Don't be candyasses and hide behind some sanctimonious position, pro or con chris steele. Just let it out... let the hate flow from within you
You lost all credibility with this statement. :)

You have 5.2% of the totality of posts ever on this board.
Youre nothing without me. It would just be Augusta on his daily alcoholic rants.

I used to barely be in the top 10, but you lose many hundreds of posts now by the box crew. Its a great feature but the old lounge crew dont fet credit for posting now.

Mullinz is not the coaching staff. At worst, Ive heard people say "it is a bad look" or something similar.

We really don't know enough to make accurate statements on anything. It's all just message board blather, which is what this place is for.

We have enough evidence that the people who started this bullshyt by claiming Steele "had his own Title IX" problem and was getting kicked off the team didnt have a clue.

They then recovered that embarassment to claim Steele was still the one at fault bc he was too pussy to work out and was a diva. I guess if theybare going to be wrong, they might as well be consistent.

Losing a CB really doesnt hurt us much in the immediate future, other than the reality some are choking down that Mullinz isnt significantly better at recruiting at Butterteeth.

Steele would've played this year alot. But he was a day 1 impact player for next year.. this whole situation makes us look like baffoons and laughing stocks around the entire league. Apparently there are still many details that haven't ( and won't) be released according to zac alboverdi on radio yesterday

Yeah, people throw around BS on message boards, some turns out to be true, some doesn't. You've certainly done your share of it.

I really think this opinion is overblown. If we kick some ass on the field this year, it will continue to fix things. Recruiting will be fine, and no one will be laughing at us.

UGA certainly won't be laughing after the game this season.

Sitting out of the country reading this info causes a "sky is falling" reaction for myself. Some of you post dribble that does not help my need for informative print. I want to thank all those who do print accurate posts.

If the losses are just Steele and Jones we can survive this without much damage as long as we sign a good QB this class.

I don't think Steele will end up being some 1st round talent. I think Elam has more upside than he does.
