As Ox referenced, winning cures all. Crank out another 10 win season and things will be better. That's my 1 cent opinion.

I hope we beat the puppies because Mullen is putting a lot of emphasis on making fun of them lately, NTTAWWT. But lose again and Mullen looks like a fool.

2 of those 10 wins better be the canes and noles, dawgs would be icing on the cake, but it’s hard for me to see us beating them unless Franks has an all-American type season.

10 wins doesnt mean shyt anymore. He we got embarassed by Kintucky and Mizzu in a "4 loss season".

10-4 with the extra two cupcakes is 8-4 of the 70s and 80s when the "10 win season" was coined.

Really the only good aspect to last year was finishing w two blowouts over hated teams.

Losing a Cb (or a project QB) doesnt affect much, but it really makes a second straight mediocre class that much more Butterish.

But lose again and Mullen looks like a fool

:scratchhead:

Maybe you are channeling someone you respect with splitting hairs in the definition of attack.

There have been several negative conclusions against the coach and coaching staff.
Wait...he did fly to California to APOLOGIZE, right? I mean what was apologizing for?

If we stand or fall on one recruit, a CB no less, we got bigger problems than we want to admit. Move along,.. it's just the off season.

Good perspective. Maybe we should start looking at seasons in terms of losses, not wins.

I think he was making a general point, that having another good season will keep things rolling in the right direction.

You were getting too positive for a while, it's good to see you back to your old self. Are you predicting 0-8 in the SEC again this year?

I think what could be a bigger blow than just losing a CB, is losing a guy that seems to have high character and would’ve been a good leader on this team. I just hate to lose a guy like that.

No matter how you spin this, it just doesn't look good. Steele was the first 5 star recruit we've singed since 2016, and in less than 4 months on campus he's decided to bail. All indications are that he's a good kid with a good attitude. You just can't let talent like that walk out the door.

We have no idea what transpired to get us here, but based on our track record, I doubt we pulled out all the stops to try to keep him. If we were signing 2-4 five stars every year and had a pipeline of five stars begging for offers in the future, maybe you let this kid walk with no fanfare. We're nowhere near that, so this one hurts.

Well, Mullen supposedly flew to California to talk to him. Sounds like he tried pretty hard to me.

I think the implosion of recruiting classes is in direct relationship with the new baseball stadium. Just as most of the dimwits here believe.

No, two girls who didnt call the police but who went to the hospital fearing std from this animal, and then the hospital called the police, whose stories of yelling no and screaming were witnessed by two more witnesses (who happen to be other football players) equals rape.

However like most women, they know there are too many mouthbreathing morons like you people who will attack them just like youve done, they dont want to be any more public than they are....or be victimized again by a trial.

You scumbags sound like Nulls.

Has UF issued an official statement even condemning what J.Jones did? Or has UF stayed silent, ignoring the PR damage that this unfettered speculation can pose? Can anyone provide an official UF response?

It irritates that Jalon Jones issues only the announcement that he's entering the transfer portal, as if he's rejecting UF like some respectable transfer that happens all the time.

At Mullen's meeting in the Steele family living room, what did Mullen say? "We had no way of knowing JJ was a moral reprobate.".... then turn to Chris = "You had no way of knowing, huh Chris?"

Maybe it's too soon to condemn the PR sluggishness? IDK? But for most horrid events like this I want UF to condemn with rapid response. Wrongdoing occurs at most schools ... and it will occur again. Do some pre-thinking on the PR responses to not be caught off-guard, to not allow "suspicions" cast on the University.

It's questionable that the best outcome will be for Steele to stay a Gator, and become a star. (Although, you know, the TV announcers will repeatedly mention Steele's name being associated with a double rape.) ???

Wait...he did fly to California to APOLOGIZE, right? I mean what was apologizing for?

He flew to California to talk to Steele and his family. No one outside of that circle has any clue what that conversation consisted of. It may have been an apology, and it may have simply been trying to convince parents that their son was in good hands, despite this.

One thing is for sure. Had he not flown out there and at least tried, certain ones here would be roasting him for lack of effort. When he does, it’s automatically turned into a grovel fest from a guilty coach.

Again, there’s a definite CNN-esque narrative here. Durty and a few others have nailed his. The ones who want to give DM the benefit of the doubt are going to, and the ones that don’t aren’t. I don’t care what preface is used, that’s reality. Take away the subject line and it’s not a whole lot different than the post-Uk/Mizz/uga threads.

We’ve even managed to squeeze in an extra loss for 2018, which is impressive, and completely dismissed the 10 win season—in his first season and with misfits all over the place, including the what was unanimously consider our worst roster since the ‘70s—as all but meaningless.

Honestly, it’s embarrassing.
