Okay there was a season 8 supposed script leak that I read over a year ago. I'm trying to find it but for now I'll reveal what I remember since none of it has come true.
Dany dies in child birth and Euron takes her body and hangs it on the walls of the red keep. Varys hides the baby but is killed by Eurons men. Sansa goes to the Vale to hide so she lives. the army of the dead make it to KL after many battles along the way (and characters actually die). Cersie tries to burn the city down with wildfire but Arya and the Hound go to kill Cersie and succeed by taking Jamie's face but they still both die. Most everybody else has died at the hands of the wrights. In the final showdown Jon riding an injured dragon lures the NK to the dragon pit where all the remaining wildfire is stored. As he's about to be overrun he has the dragon light up the wildfire and the explosion kills himself, the NK and the wights. However that isn't the end of the WW as we see in the last scene the remaining White Walker captains drag Bran off presumably to make him the next NK.
In the epilogue, 6 years later, we see Tyrion and Missande with Dany/Jon's daughter in the throne room.

Dany was always written to take a turn to the tyrannical, but they got there way too fast.

Jamie's entire redemption arc was useless in the end.

Jon Snow just stands around looking dumb this season.

The show's continuity has been wildly inconsistent in the last couple of seasons. Too much to write here on my phone, but ever since they left the books behind, the writing has gotten sloppier and sloppier.

I think GRRM will do a better job in turning Dany "Mad". But in the show it was ham-fisted and honestly against character.

Jamie's arc turned out to be stupid. Like I said before if they had skipped the Jamie/Brien love scene it would have worked better. They really could have played that he was, in part, trying to do good because of his respect for Brienn and with her death he he had no reason to hang around with the good guys. Then he could go back to Cersie, but see that she was still a monster, and kill her. Or better yet Arya kills him before he can profess his love to Cersie (tragic ending). Then Arya takes his face and kills Cersie. But they would have to have had Arya not kill the NK because it makes her too OP.

It feels to me like GRRM told D&D the major plot points. Then D&D gave the info to the writers for individual episodes. And then no one collaborated. i.e. Episode 3 writer wipes out Dany's army, Episode 5 writer - Dany has an OP'd army.

just feels rushed to me, why have several extended episodes when they could have done 10 60 minute episodes. they could have killed night king earlier and evolved the Dany going "mad"

The show went to hell without the threat of the Night King.

They don't foreshadow anything anymore. They telegraph. Just imagine the most obvious. Dany insists Sansa bends the knee, attacks Winterfell, Jon kills her.
I don't even care anymore.

Also I’m confused at her motivation.
A) Pissed because Cersie killed Misande. Which is how they played it. That she was just angry.
B) She went crazy, which they showed no descent into madness.

So we are to believe that because she was angry, even though the battle was won, she killed a city full of innocent people despite the fact that she’s been protecting the innocent for 7 seasons.

I think GRRM told D&D that Dany eventual goes mad and they very poorly wrote it just to get done.

Last nights episode in regards to Dany and Grey Worm makes absolutely no sense. They both were completely out of character.

I think my biggest problem with last night is Dany strafing the city (in a zig zag fashion, no less) and killing all the innocents when she had Cersie in her sights. I know they were building for her to go mad but I'm not buying it.
<sigh> They went full Star Wars TLJ.

It’s like you are don’t know women at all. Bitches be crazy.
