He talked about his dog a lot in that other interview.

Q: Ok, getting back on topic, please...your quarterbacks really struggled here, coach. It seems like for some fans the expectations were set high from the beginning. You were thought of as kind of a 'quarterback whisperer,' in fact, you made the comment early on that you could teach your dog Clarabelle to run this offense. Do you think you put yourself in a hole by making those comments.

JM: Look I've taught my dog Clarabelle to do a lot of things, (by the way, peanut butter is great training tool. You can get your dog to do almost anything by putting peanut butter in just the right spot), but I've never actually taught her to play quarterback. I was being facetious with my original comment, and I think most fans recognize that. As far as me being a 'quarterback whisperer' or whatever, I've never called myself that. And yet, I've whispered a thing or two into Clarabelle's ear - a man's love for his dog really knows no bounds - but that's about it. I don't have to defend myself.

Q: Uh huh...oh boy...

JM: But to answer your question, did I put myself into that particular hole? You bet I did. Many times, over and over.

Another colossal Foley mistake. How much did this guy cost the university, like 15 million or so by the time it was over?

20ish million. 4-4.5 a year plus 8 mil buyout.

Nearly a million per win.

We fired a 21-16 coach, hired another 21-16 coach and paid him 20mil to go 21-16 again.

What a joke of a coach. He's easily the worst we've had in 2 decades at least.

There isn’t another industry under the sun that would stand by and let that happen. Just the hiring record alone(at best 1-for-4, at worst 0-3) should’ve sent him packing years ago. Forget parachuting “out” with full glory and who knows what kind of pay package.

The argument of big picture because of other sports where he had success is the equivalent of retaining a CEO because the landscaping has never looked better and there’s now Starbucks in the break room. It’s absurd how much donor money was thrown at absolute nonsense because of arrogance and a refusal to demand better.

McElwain banged that shark, btw.

I've got to give muschamp the prize of being the worst or atleast a tie. Outside of muschamps one good year, he went 6-6 , 4-8 and 6-5. Lost ga southern and vandy.

Mac made it to Atlanta twice and then got fired mid season 3rd year. Granted every game outside of the ole miss game was unwatchable under mac butwe didn't experience the embarrassment on the field that we we did with muschamp.

I think we're just further removed from muschamp and its easier to say mac was worse.

"The players are having success now." That's how you know you stink as a coach. When someone else can just come in and take hot trash you brought in and make them look like football players.

I disagree. We experienced just as much embarrassment on the field with both coaches. Even the games we won we looked hideous.

Right? I never really was able to celebrate a win because the games were so painful and we always had to wait till the very end to squeak out the win. The offense was a disaster.
