Wasn’t planning on buying a guitar today but I walked into Guitar Center and saw this bad boy and had to have it. Can’t tell in the pic but it’s a very shiny copper. Dean Guitar is actually in Tampa but these production models are made in Korea.
A friend has a Dean and I always liked the neck. So when I saw this on sale I impulse bought. My other guitar is a Epiphone Les Paul Studio that is going to be neglected for a while.

I thought this thread was about Axe body spray.

Hardly ever pick up my Les Paul anymore.

Thanks. Model name and ballpark price? Versatile or suited towards a particular type of music? Clean tone comparison to?

Sorry I have a lot of questions. I have a lot of downtime due to injury and want to pick up a guitar with humbuckers as I have 2 single coil guitars already. I have small hands and like flatter necks like Ibanez but hate most Ibanez tones. Just wondering

The price makes it attractive. $200. Dean guitar is in Tampa. They build custom guitars there but their commodity lines are, like everyone else, built by Asian slave labor.
Specs
Dean Vendetta XM Satin Natural
Those specs say it's a bolt on neck but mines not so I don't if I have an older model or what.
They're well made guitars. A friend has one and I always liked the neck. Even compared to more expensive brands that are suppose to be better for shredding. The feel is personal preference of course but I really like it. It's just "easier" to play. Light and slim.
Out of the box the intonation is perfect. Every fret position has perfect pitch which is not something I can say for a lot of other guitars including my Epi Les Paul.
I can't speak much about tone. I only have small practice amps so everything sounds about the same.

Thank you for the response. I have an American sunburst strat and an Ibanez talman with lipstick tube pickups. The Ibanez has a really thin tinny tone to it but is a slim flat and playable neck. I had to have a start because my favorite clean tones when I started playing were Hendrix, Stevie Ray and John frusciante rhythm stuff but they are hard playing guitars in my opinion.

Both the Dean and the LP have humbuckers. I'd say the LP has a warmer, fuller sound which you might expect simply because of the better quality pickups. The Dean certainly wouldn't be mistaken for having single coils but you could say it has a brighter tone. I was looking for a guitar to mod, that if I felt like scalloping the frets I wouldn't feel guilty about carving up something expensive. Thought I might have to replace the tuners but they are rock solid. But I may upgrade the pickups and electronics while I'm at it. Add a graph tech nut. The other positive is that I can dial the action pretty low. It's just really well made for the price.

My next purchase will likely be something strat-ish. Single coils and a tremolo.
