I expect them not to lose every single head to head, to occasionally be able to sell themselves, and even to sell playing time. Miami wins some, and their facilities are laughable. Worse than many High Schools.

This staff aren't as bad recruiters as Butters (which would seem impossible) but this is easily the second worst recruiting staff in 40 years.

At least they are pretty cheap.

Except the Dwag.

Yes, and we will lose many of those.

But Seider could get people to come to UF, play in our shytty facilities and for Butterteeth's terrible staff.

Seider may be the best, at least for Florida recruiting, but he isn't the only great recruiter. Every staff must have some.

Creyer demanded to hire only the best recruiters off of any other staff. We need that again. It is the way you win today. There are three or four teams just loaded with elite talents, even though we were the first.

And Creyer didn't hire anyone from UT San Antonio. Just a lazy hire.

This class will be it, btw. The effects of a poor recruiting class echo three years later, year six for Mullinz. He better pray it at least fills the holes in the last classes (safety, inside backers, DTs, SDEs).

Even if they don't stall facilities "one more year" again, facilities won't get here soon enough to save his job. Don't tell me about paint in the locker room.

If he doesn't land a championship class this year, it is over. 3-4 for loss seasons won't keep you employed at UF forever.

Great points.

Putting together the large group of quality scouts seems like the lowest hanging fruit. UAA could knock that out quick bc it’s just a matter of identifying the guys, putting them in some temp space, and paying them.

Does it even look like we’re trying if we don’t have better have scouting resources than everyone but Bama? Facilities can take time. Improving recruiting can take time. Putting together a bunch of scouts shouldn’t take much.

We had the opportunity to look for a heavy hitter on the recruiting trail this off season and went with a coach who's known for being a pretty weak recruiter. This numbers crunch on the dline developing is worse than what muschamp did a few years ago with the offensive line. Hell , atleast mac signed a few big bodies on the dline.

I gotta agree with this. Mullen is one hell of a coach. Completely surpassed my expectations for last year by a mile. Beating the shcit out of fsu and Michigan Carries some serious weight with me. If he would treat recruiting like his attention to detail on the field , he could elite here. I don't how he or the higher ups can't see this if we can? I mean wtf is going on?

I think it's possible that Mullen and staff recruit as good as any team but we're not paying the kids to come to us. So if "getting better at recruiting" means paying then I don't want to get "better".

Not serious about what?
- that we are or are not paying kids
- that we do or do not suck at recruiting

Personally, I think kids don't come to us for the simple reason of they're actually being paid to go elsewhere.

Our facilities, while behind, affect kids decisions a very small amount IMO.

In the end, I want a kid that wants to be a Gator.
