Here are her stats against Barnhill before Thursday night 3-10, 5 Ks, 1HRYou’re wrong about Show’s stats against Barnhill.

I'm not sure what you point is...as usual. I doubt seriously that Oklahoma would have put any worse an ass whipping than Bama did and we would have been playing OK with a win and a ton more positive energy. If had we lost we'd still by in the tourney. Not sure if you've ever been around womens sport much but that sort of **** really affects their play much more than it does with mens sports.
Just for the record I think Walton is a great coach but even the great ones can be stubborn and stuck in a philosophy that might bite them in the ass at some point. Don't believe it..............just ask SOS!
The problem was where the pitches were located, the first homer was on an 0-2 pitch. Should never throw anything that can be hit out.of the park or hard anywhere on an 0-2 pitch, the second homer was on a 1-1 pitch I believe that was right down the middle. That was Barnhill’s problem all 4 years she would leave too many pitches over the heart of the plate hence all the homers given up. I think it was about 60, compare that to Stacey Nelson who gave up 14 in 4 years. Thanks for posting. Confirms what I said, Show took her deep last year. Also shows (no pun intended) that Show had success against Barnhill prior to Thursday...she was batting .300 against Kelly which is very impressive. For the life of me I can’t figure out how anybody on this board believes pitching to Show was a better choice in that situation than pitching around her. We had a tie game late with one out already and all 3 bases open and available for us to work with. I guess some folks just can’t grasp strategy & the concept of losing the battle but winning the war.

Exactly right. Barnhill was great, probably the most talented pitcher who ever came in as a freshman. But she didn't develop much IMO and relying mainly on the rise ball made her susceptible to the HR. Stacey Nelson was a gritty battler who got better and better each year as a Gator and became our GOAT by the time she graduated, at least IMO. And she consistently kept the ball down and in the ball park. The problem was where the pitches were located, the first homer was on an 0-2 pitch. I've seen Nelson mentioned a dozen times in this thread and she is the goat but, she still graduated with the same number of national championships as Barnhill and I don't recall 12 pages of how bad that team and Walton sucked. I guess expectations are kinda high for a program and a coach that suck so bad.Exactly right. Barnhill was great, probably the most talented pitcher who ever came in as a freshman. That team was superior in every way compared to this years team and was praised as the best ever, but didn't win it all, and nobody cared. This team has been flawed all season but somehow under achieved according to you and a few others. So are you saying that because Nelson was as good as Barnhill then the rest of Nelson’s teammates were as highly rated, or as good, as Barnhill’s supporting cast? If the answer is no you may have your answer as to why this thread now but not a similar one years ago.

Walton's best call of the weekend was giving KB that one pitch sendoff.
Yeah, they ran into Danielle Lawrie of Washington, who shut down our booming bats.2008. All time single season record for wins. But no NCAA title. Like the Warriors single season wins record but no NBA title that season. Hey that's sports.
That was 2009, 2008 they lost to LA Lafayette in the opening game of the Series and made it all the way back to the if game to make the finals and lost to Texas A&M 1-0 in extra innings finished the season at 70-5. All 5 losses were by 1 run.Yeah, they ran into Danielle Lawrie of Washington, who shut down our booming bats.
