High 3 star OL and DT arent a problem. They are often the biggest, strongest dudes, maybe not as athletic as some. The scouts get too impressed w who can dunk a basketball or whatever. Maybe not quite as high of a ceiling but a higher floor.

When Mullinz first came to Florida the offense was designed around lightweight 250 lb guards that moved fast.... think Utah. lots of screens to the receivers that involved I guard or tackle pulling way outside.

Not so much anymore. we rely on receivers to do the blocking outside and are stronger up front in the middle.

You know there is a roster online, right? This just isn’t close to right. They did recruit some, lighter (285-290) freshman tackles (David Young and Xavier Nixon), but nearly everyone was around 300, especially the guards in the first few years.

Youre right. It was later, like 2008 and 2009 classes when we went w the much lighter OL. Roby 250, Nixon 260, Patchan 260, Silberman 250.

Perhaps just a Daz thing.

Vangauard kids are in a gator unfriendly area already that part of Ocala is all Miami and FSU it’s gonna be hard to get any vanguard kids...always has been

Other commits to SEC schools:

Ole Miss: picked up three commits this week, 3-star TE Demarcus Thomas out of Alabama (65th ranked TE), and unranked DB An’Darius Coffey & 4-star DT Josaih Hayes both out of Mississippi.

Miss State: transfer DT Allan Love from Louisville commits, he's a 6'2 285lb former 3-star ffrom Alabama. He committed to Ole Miss in HS, then flipped to Louisville. He was a freshman last year and is asking for immediate eligibility.

South Carolina: took a very shake-my-head commit from an unranked CB, O'Donnell Fortune: O'Donnell Fortune, Sumter, Cornerback

Tennessee: landed a 3-star OG from Illinois, Javontez Spraggins, 6'3 336lbs (53rd OG, 882nd overall recruit).

Auburn: gets a commitment from Florida 3-star WR Elijah Canion.
