I don't just mean our school, I mean all schools. Making a mockery of college by letting people who have no business being college students attend the university simply because they can run fast or catch a ball is a disgrace.
Well... plenty of college grads are murders, even the biggest ones. Qtub and Zawahiri were doctors. OBL was an engineer.

Man, once again (as I have posted about numerous times) I find myself wishing that college ball was played exclusively by people who belong in college.
How many likes can I give this.

The 2007 charge of stealing a car from impound is sketchy to say the least. The Gainesville lot owner said he'd been paid and that he didn't understand why Joiner had been arrested.

"Why would they arrest this kid?" the owner, Stan Farron, said.

Joiner is, like so many recruits, a product of an impoverished section of a small Florida town where football was the only way out.

With football long in the rear view mirror -- he didn't play a down in the NFL -- he apparently lost his way. Sad for everyone involved.

BTW, he was a Zook recruit, not Meyer.

So he's been walking around free for over 3 years knowing he committed murder and hasn't hauled ass to another country? If so his ass deserves the chair for being that big a fcking idiot.

Because fleeing authorities always works out so well. It suggests a consciousness of guilt. If I knew I was innocent, I would sit tight and go about my life as he did. He deserves his day in court. It took three long years to charge him. Why?

More of the top 1% of 1%.

Another reason Turban Leyer should never be in the ring of honor and not welcomed back on campus. He recruited this scum, if it weren't for Tebow the whole nation would call UF a safe space for thugs during the CUM era. They still do actually.

Yes, particularly. It doesn't take three years.
No offense but you dont have a clue what your talking about. 2-5 years isnt uncommon at all. The backlogs are horrendous at most labs.

It's also more difficult when you have someone who knows the other person. joiners going to be expected to have interaction with her visiting kids or whatever. What that means is finding say, my DNA on the victim my quickly lead to my arrest. I have no reason to be around her my DNA to be on her. Finding Joiner's DNA on her is not necessarily dispositive, and the investigators basically have to swab and test everything to try to rule out any other DNA of an alternative killers.

I know nothing about the case or the cause of the delay, but a delay for labs and dna doesn't surprise me at all.

Youre about flight. Had he tried to flee he likely would have been arrested.

I think I'd be willing to risk whatever the charge is for fleeing authorities when I know I'm guilty of murder and likely facing the death penalty once convicted. I guess he thought they were just going to forget about it?

I believe Joiner was signed by Zook.

Point taken, but Meyer nurtured him with "Bible study" I am sure.

Which is what they would need to do if there were no known suspects, correct?

My aunt was killed by her husband almost 20 years ago. Everybody knew he did it, but it took 3 years to make the arrest. The DA generally doesn't want to go to trial in a high profile case unless he knows he has all the evidence he needs to get a conviction, and gathering that evidence and making a solid case out of it often takes time.

I still wouldn’t give back the 2 titles he won.

You’d be amazed. I always find it humorous on cop shows where they get the results of DNA tests in a matter of hours. It almost as funny as when a TV cop, referring to any kind of forensic evidence, says “tell the lab to put a rush on it.”

The reality for most folks (from here) is they have no where flee to. If you don’t have a lot of cash, or someone who will support you, where are you going to go? Only a few countries don’t have extradition treaties with the US. If you stay in the US, you will almost certainly get caught eventually.

North Korea. He'd assimilate in no time.
