I think Toronto winning the title was good for the sport, but does anyone doubt that a completely healthy Warriors team beats them easily? I hardly watch the NBA anymore until the Final 2 rounds of the playoffs. Follow the news, scores and standings on the web and catch a game here and there, but find the regular season pretty boring. I was much more interested when I was younger. I was a fan of the Red Auerbach Celtics and the rivalries they had with the Lakers & 76'ers. Now it's just which owners have the money to buy an All-Star team or which players get together and decide where they want to play.

Kawhi had one of the best playoff runs I've ever seen. But yeah a fully healthy warriors team wouldn't even lose one game to the Raptors. Even without KD i think the warriors win with Klay Thompson healthy. But they were without KD and Klay Thompson and Boogie was still limited.

Since when did the “pivot, side step, jump back, jump shot” not be called a travel?

There is no traveling any more. NBA TV has a segment where they laugh at non-calls where guys take 6-8 steps. It is hilarious.

My thoughts as well. To me, the one thing I didn't want to happen is what ended up happening. When Thompson went down, I really wanted to see the Warriors pull it out and force a game 7--in part to extend the season and in part because it would be a terrific story that would truly cement GS's legacy if they could pull off a title without arguably their two best players. The other option I would've been totally fine with was Toronto pulling away after Klay went down and winning by 10-15. Injuries are part of things, and the game was close at the time, so there'd be no way to argue that Toronto wasn't going to win regardless, and the Thompson injury just made the path much easier.

But as it was, late in the 4th, GS is up, and of course, had a chance to win it with :09 left, because of sloppy play by the Raptors when they had the chance to put it away. Imo, that almost kills any argument that they could've beaten them, even with only one of the injuries, much less a healthy squad.

Good for Toronto, and you take a title any way you can. But they're a really solid group of players that are easy to pull for, and it would've been much better to see them win it without all of the legitimate questioning of whether they could've with any other scenario.

Leonard scored the 3rd most points in playoff history behind MJ and Bron. That's impressive. His 2nd title and 2nd finals MVP.

Toronto got their title but at what cost? It seems they'll lose their gm and best player. Green and Gasol are probably gone. Siakam will probably be gone the following season. They will be bottom feeders for years to come. Would you really take a title if you knew your team would suck for the next 7-10 years?
Where is the GM going? I'd take the title and roll the dice on signing Kawhi

9 seconds left and Kerr comes up with that play? Take it to the hoop.
Small-ball club. Did they even have anyone on the floor who could do that?

Congrats to the Toronto Raptors on beating:

12 minutes of Kevin Durant
Hobbled Klay Thompson
Hobbled Kevin Looney
DeMarcus Cousins who hasn't been nearly the same since his injury

Only took your full healthy starting lineup to beat Stephen Curry in 6 games!

Injuries are part of the game. It’s like blaming the refs after a loss. It’s a loser’s mentality.

Major part of the script for winning championships is staying healthy. The Warriors didn’t. It likely cost them another championship.

Toronto only had to beat the players on the court and they did. They earned their ring.

Warriors probably earned more respect in defeat than in any of their previous runs. They showed tremendous heart and perseverance.
