Yeah, but if FSU is telling him he's 3rd behind Toafili and Knighton, why should we take him? I'd rather steal Chaney from Miami.

Even McElwain let Toney try out at QB. Even let him run a trick play in the game against KY. But everyone knew he was a skill player. That's not even the case with Lee. We have zero RB commits, he's listed at 6'1 216 and 6th at his position. I wouldn't mind Christian Okoye walking through that door, or another Derrick Henry. I'm with you, it just seems stupid to not take him.

Bowman is likely sticking to Clemson, although there is a microscopic chance the Lakeland folks can sway him, and Smith grew up in Texas and we here nothing about him. Our stable is full now and it's completely possible that we lose Perine and Davis this year, followed by Pierce the following year. Why not take two and see what he can do at the position.
Bowman is all Gator but his folks are not.

Lee would make sense if he was paired with a speedier back ala Bowman, or Chaney. He has physicality but not speed or moves. I think he got a little full of himself when we were pursuing Bowman so heavily and he thought he was getting disrespected. After all he was ranked the 6th running back!!!

BTW, LSU does not have anybody committed at RB, neither does Auburn or Georgia or A&M. I wonder why? Maybe the RB class of 2020 is not very strong? None of those teams have allowed Lee to commit to them. He's not at the top of their list. That tells me that coaching staffs don't think he's that good whereas recruiting services do. Will one of them take him at the end when they run out of options? Sure.

CB Henry Gray is seriously interested in the Gators per camp reports.

Marcus Rosemy brought his parents with him for his official visit.

Why? He’s a very good running back. There’s zero excuse to push this on this kid. Recruit a different linebacker. This is idiotic in every way. He doesn’t need to give up on rb

The hell if I know...but that appears to be how the evaluated him. I don’t get it either

Don't be surprised if CB Trevez Johnson pops for us sometime soon, a legitimate 4.41 speedster. His offer sheet is not great right now but should blow up soon.

It's pretty binary, like a boundary call. If 1% of your foot is on the sideline, you're 100% out. If he was all Gator, he'd be here, but he's with Clemson. Not trying to mince words or be argumentative about it, but we hear this all the time. He's all Gator, but....but.....but.... He may end up a Gator, but it sounds like he won't be all Gator until his parents convert.

Remember that for a lot of kids the parents have to sign the LOI. If there are bagmen involved then it's all about business not about where the kid wants to go. All I am saying is that his heart is Gator but his pockets might be lined with Clemson gold.
