Thirty six players under par. USGA are now certified pussies.

Did they forget to change par (as if that mattered)?

Which is among the dumbest remaining things in golf now that they stopped allowing viewers to be self-appointed officials.

They didn’t change it this year. Shocking.

That course was nearly defenseless today with the weather conditions. It can, and usually does, extract revenge before all is said & done.

With the weather the way it is not much you can do. That wet heavy rough will cause havoc though

What's the open record for most players under par? 38 right now. Crazy.

edit: now 42 and it will be the lowest projected cut ever at +1 eclipsing the old record by two strokes.

Sad.

The media didn't say much. But, he did very little prep for the U.S. Open. His health simply didn't allow it. He had no chance at all.

Woodland's putting has been the difference so far. Everything he has hit has found the bottom of the cup. Today will be the different because he has never been in this position before. Can his nerves hold up and his lights out putting continue?

Rose has been the best in getting up and down around the greens and has been in this position before.

Finally, the set up is a non issue in a USO and the course has shinned. Will it play tougher today? We'll see.

Happy Fathers day to you all!

Woods is having more physical trouble than anyone wants to admit. Going forward, early season tournaments might be the only places he makes noise since it doesn’t seem he can maintain the necessary fitness levels for mid and late season. Won’t necessarily count him out of the British open since links golf is a different animal than the power game dominating the pga and he was in contention there last year, but I don’t see any more pga Championships or us Open wins in his future.

Even if he never pulls off another big win, his brief return to glory has reignited casual interest and given people the chance to watch a much stronger generation of younger players who are playing at a level well beyond most of the generation of players Woods dominated in his heyday.

I see signs of oil leakage for Koepka, Woodland, and Rose. Up till now there have been a lot of miracle shots. Somebody will have to come up with one or two more.

Great play down the stretch by the guys at the top. I think Woodland is probably the only guy on the planet who has the demeanor to beat Koepka right now. I wish they could've been paired together today. The energy would've been great because neither of those guys know how to back down. They both remind me of old school All-American baseball players than a typical PGA tour pro.

Gonna go ahead and call it for the British: Rory wins it.

I don't usually watch Golf, but I did watch some especially the end. What a way to close it out with a long putt that you really did not need to get going in. As I suspected Tiger is not going to be a strong force again, he has abused his body in the past too much. I really wish he would retire since he gets way too much attention relative to his current ability.
