Good to see and glad to hear it. I knew his college gf decently well and met him a handful of times as a result--nothing but positive things to say about the guy.

He has a net worth of over $60 million....hers is estimated at over $30 million. He's done very, very well for himself!

Honestly, what do these two do with the rest of their lives? Do they work? Start a business? Coach? Get into broadcasting? I know most of us dream of being retired, but at some point you have to do something or you'll eventually get bored - right? This would be a good discussion in the financial forum...

MJM, that's great. My problem is I don't like golf or fishing enough to do it that much. But I get it if you do. Both activities are time consuming and get you out of the house.

Drinking heavily is crucial to both activities.

Drinking heavily I'd have no problem with....except I'd sleep all day, have the sh*ts, and likely would get divorced. But it would be fun for a few months!

Yeah..... so I'd like to hear the negatives to drinking heavily?

I retired at 55 and for the last 12+ years have thoroughly enjoyed not having deadlines and commitments. I keep myself as busy as I like, my wife & I have taken numerous 4-5 week road trips, I read a lot, help people when they need it, sleep in when I feel like it and highly recommend the retired lifestyle while you still have the health and energy to enjoy it. And being rich like David Lee would just add more options to the table.

I is always nice to see headlines about a former Gator that does not discuss felonious activity!

Anybody remember Midnight Madness the year Lee beat James White in a dunk contest? I don't think anybody really knew up until that point how much hops he had.

Actually, he had already won the dunk contest at the McDonalds All America game so his ups were well known

Ocalaman,
You have me beat I retired a year ago at 60 and I have not gotten bored yet either. I imagine there will come a time when I run out of things to do since I am neither a golfer or a fisherman but so far I am loving it I highly recommend retiring early since there is nothing like a life with no flights to catch or mindless conference calls to sit through or even a dysfunctional boss to deal with every day.

He could work on his free-throws.
