I meant he hasn't been on uk's campus yet. It is us or them. We are the close to home option and on the list for title contender if he comes. We also can provide more playing time. Kintuckie will be the favorite to win it all with the addition of Blackshear. It all depends on what he is looking for.

I still think he was worth waiting for. The risk was worth the reward imo. There was never much else out there that would significantly upgrade the front court. We're still gonna have a solid squad next year.

We could have gone all in on a freshman wing such as the one who just committed to Kansas (name isn’t coming to me).

It is not unusual for college basketball programs to leave a slot open. UF has many years in the past.

If Blackshear goes elsewhere the issue becomes can UF develop one of Bassett, Gak, Jitoboh, Payne or Stokes into a serviceable big who can start. There is no shortage of candidates. They each have shown some skills.

A rarity on GC, an honorable poster cutting coaches some slack for failing to rule over some recruit's free choice. I like t-gator's rationality in hindsight - hindsight is a rare host to such breatheable thinking.

The real problem is we've recruited very poorly in the front court. None of the guys outside of Payne( who's a mystery too) are even serviceable. So I'm not going to cut too much slack. We shouldn't be in this situation. Gak , Bassett and stokes are not sec caliber.
