Wingo is a big pickup boys. We've had some ok linebackers in the last few years, but only AA was elite talent and of course fragile. Wingo is a Brandon Spikes like game changer and may be the magnet we need to get some momentum.

Hopefully we can keep this rolling a little bit. We're sitting at 9 bluechippers right now. It would be real nice to get 18-20. I doubt we can pull one of those 22-24 classes, but 18-20 changes the complexion some in the future.
It'll probably require some "processing" along the way to get to 18-20 BCs, but it does seem possible.

You right now.
Yeah.... we absolutely NEEDED DT and ILB. Dexter and Wingo are both top of the board guys, not a "nice backup plan low 4* or high 3* but we really wanted X or Y" type guys.

Getting STA back on board with us is critical too.

Yeah, I just keep hoping the dam breaks, the snowball starts rolling, whatever. We need several great classes to get back in the hunt. Mullinz is being forced to play poker with half of a hand right now.

I wouldn’t go that far. But I think he’s one of the best ILBs in this class.

Spikes was way bigger and faster in high school.

We haven’t gotten an ILB in like 4 years.

Spikes was bigger as a senior, no doubt. We didn't have ESD then and remember Tebow and Spikes landed late and together. I don't really know how big Spikes was as a junior. We didn't really look at juniors much then.

I doubt we will do that. We had some people wanting in late, namely the Clowntown DBs and we didnt make room for them. It is probably the right move longterm. HS coaches remember stuff like that for a long time.

I like Jujuan Seider but Im damn tired of him eating our lunch. He can go play with UCF or scUM.

UF should never be losing recruits to that snowbelt shythole.

Not, disputing, but Spikes was awfully slow by the time he graduated.

I've said it a thousand times I'm very critical of Mullen it's no secret. I've also said a thousand times I'll give credit when it warranted and now is one of those times. Great job by Mullen and staff for the latest pickups, like others have said I hope it starts an avalanche of prospects jumping on board. Mainly I hope Fl kids start taking notice that elite talent is staying in state. We've got to get back to locking this state down or at least keeping 8/15 players in Fl.

And I'm not saying we have to pull 8 of the top 15, that would be nice but I'm saying if we can get that many to stay it state every year maybe the number would get even higher. Since 2015 only 7 players in the top 5 players in the state of Fl chose a school in Fl. That's got to change. Hopefully Mullen can be that coach

A recent interview of Derek Wingo at Rivals Miami. 247 lists him at 210. Rivals lists him at 215. He looks a little bigger than that to me.

Not until we close in that parking garage and figure out how to run several extension cords for the window units.

I like his play, but I like his interview maybe even more. He speaks with authority and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. From what I’ve read, the young man has some leadership ability, which has been desperately lacking on this team for some time. This is the kind of man blue chippers will want to play with. It remains to be seen, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s just as good of a recruiting get as well as on field talent. Nicely Done Danno!
