Put him at safety. And this makes no sense with taking a kid ranked 1600th in the country

As I said, taking Johnson may be about relationships with the staff and maybe other players. Are there prospects we like for 2021 and 2022? Remember, the previous 2 staffs didn't recruit the Jacksonville area at all. Numerous coaches said they never heard from us.

Especially this early. Makes no sense, especially w/ the other DB's we've been recruiting. I like Tennison better and Kendall Dennis is better than this kid.

Love the Wingo commit. He's a grown man. 2nd favorite in the class behind Dexter.

Better because the recruiting services say he is? Obviously our staff does not go by the recruiting services evaluations and are not in the least interested in the mythical recruiting championship.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing a bunch of Jacksonville area coaches all got together and told Florida to take this very low ranked kid in order to get on their good side for the future. What good does it do the other dozens of high schools in the area for Mullen to take one out of this one particular school? Kinda like last year when we took the Sanders kid in order to get his brother "allegedly". I'm leaning towards Mullen and the coaches see something they like in this kid and are hoping the recruiting services are all wrong. What % of the time are all the recruiting services wrong on a kid, around 1%? Just like the Sanders kid, the coaches are hoping he's a 1%'er.

Our staff has spent the last two and half years the swinging and missing on the elite kids. Dont act like weve been signing our secret plan A kids (who we evaluated ro be much better).

If we signed the kids we first targeted, we would have a clear top class. We just didnt sign those kids.

What's the likelihood recruiting services are more wrong than our scouring coaches?

Funny how you completely sidestepped the DT commit. Any comment about the DT commit that we just flipped? Is CT in our backyard too? No? I thought Turner was from crappy UTSA (which he was) and Mullen made a ****ty hire because he is comfortable with people he knows and every move he makes is wrong? Well that UTSA coach is hopefully bringing in a pretty good DT class (he was involved in the recruiting of at least 2 of the 3).

Your knowledge is excellent and I actually enjoy reading your posts when you take away your obvious anti-mullen bias. I actually learn something from it. Then you come up with dumb ass posts like this:

I can literally build an algorithm that easily predicts every post you make in the future.

Good news > No credit to Mullen, all credit to the staff member, we already knew that, Mullen sucks, he had nothing to do with this.
Neutral news> Mullen sucks
Bad news> Mullen is the worst, he hired these ****ty recruiters and the sooner we fire him the better. He will never ever get anywhere.

At least Donks shows some joy when things go our way for a change. You on the other hand only show disdain because it goes against your anti-mullen narrative.

Every time I think this staff will turn the corner in recruiting, they usually go through a rough period. Still, it’s a couple of nice blue chippers added, hopefully they’ll hang on to them. Anyone else expected to announce soon, that we’re in the running for?

Shouldn't LSU's looming NCAA punishments send the next 3-4 years' recruits up for our grab?
Hey, Foley/Stricklin could take over as LSU AD - those players are used to FEMA facilities.

alcoholica, from what I’ve seen, these are the dudes we’re contending for at the moment:

LB: Brandon Williams (4*), Bryson Eason (4*)

WR: Xzavier Henderson (4*), Ja’Khi Douglas (4*), Malik Heath (JUCO)

SDE: Chantz Williams (4*), Alex Lemon (3*)

WDE: Antwaun Powell (4*)

DT: Branard Wright (4*), Kedrick Bingley-Jones (4*)

ATH: Eric Shaw (3*), Marc Britt (4*)

DB: Fenley Graham (3*), Jahari Rogers (4*), Henry Gray (4*)

OG: Richard Leonard (3*), Marcus Henderson (4*)

RB: Nathan Jones (3*)

leogator mentioned another couple RBs but folks can search the thread for those names. Not looking good at OT right now, and RB, DT, S, and LB really need to pick up.
