Well until they have a 36-3 season and win 30 in a row, I think I won't put them ahead of Wilbekin, Young, Frazier, Yeguete, Prather, Finney-Smith and Hill.
That was a great group. But I'd definitely say that was a great team rather than a super talented one. The sum was greater than it's parts.

Huge addition to the roster. You would have go think Sweet 16 at the minimum.

This is now a legit Top 10 team with a chance at the Final 4. With the returning players, the highly-touted freshmen and now the most experienced and talented player who entered the transfer portal, there will be no excuses if this team doesn't play at a very high level next season. Great job by Mike White in assembling this group of players. Now it's time to produce on the court. Goooo Gators!!

Let's just hope that these players can all stay healthy. We have been horribly snake bit by injuries the last 4-5 years it seems. The future is sure looking bright though for sure...

The successful surge in recruiting of our FB team and BB team is how a long string of attracting the better players gets started. It's like both programs are ready for steady upflow. Especially in FB, it seems having one top player sign opens a sluice down which more stars rush through. Keep on trucking Gators.

That team wasn’t extremely talented. What they were was a TEAM that played like their hair was on fire from tip-off until the buzzer sounded. Max effort guys that totally bought into what Donovan preached.
Overachievers IMO.

Huge get for White and something I doubted he would be able to do. Congrats to Coach White!

The upside potential for this team is significant and he has all the pieces required to succeed.
The downside for him is that his roster is rock solid now and the performance of the team will be tied to his ability directly. I am expecting great things from this team and if not, Coach White will have a problem......

Talented enough for the PG to earn 7 figures playing basketball and for the rest of them to keep a future NBA player on the bench.

Glad we didn't fire the guy. He's doing an amazing job attracting top BB players to Gainesville - not the easiest thing to do. What an awesome opportunity next year is gonna be for fans, coaches, and players alike. Let's hope we make a deep run in the tourney. Obviously, Elite 8 or better are the expectations.... or else it's back to www.FireMikeWhite.com for the nutters. There won't be any personnel excuses left that's for certain. 04's were the last time we had this much talent on hand.

The key for White is going to be figuring out how to get these pieces to gel.

The team mentioned Final Four team that Donovan had with Young, Scottie, etc.. all played together for years and that made a HUGE difference.

White has to take 3 freshman, plus Blackshear and combine them with some sophomores. I expect the early season to be a little rocky as these guys learn how to play as a team. If they can get that done by conference play then watch out, because they are as talented a group as there is in college basketball.

Another plus Blackshear brings: he draws fouls = scores points, puts opposing bigs in foul trouble.
He opens the floor, because they have to collapse in on him.
He doesn't let crowding him interfere with his shooting accuracy. We haven't had that lately.
He's makes excellent assist passes.
Better rebounder than we usually have.
He'll be a great mentor to our newbies.

Based on the talking heads, Blackshear and other noobs give Coach White the front court he’s been lacking. If true, I don’t want to see anymore sloppy 3s with 1 sec left on the shot clock because Coach wants chew the clock. I want foot-on-throat, play-to-win 2nd half effort!

This is his chance to prove he belongs at UF!

One guy has played in the NBA. We currently have 4-5 guys that will likely play in the league.

This years squad is more talented, but likely won’t be as good of a team (they were special).

Don’t argue just to argue Insti

I once posted about the pro potential of several guys on some UF basketball team. Someone argued with me and as it turned out only one or two had a cup of coffee in the Association. So having 4 or 5 guys "likely to play in the league" means little. Not many guys get drafted and if you look at UF's current roster:

1. Lewis is expected to be drafted NOW, but we shall see in after a year in college.

2. Nembhard might make it but is not an NBA caliber athlete.

3. Blackshear seems unlikely to be drafted, getting a year older rarely increases ones draft prospects.

4. Locke does not have NBA SG size or athleticism.

5. Johnson has the athleticism but not the size.

6. Mann might have the lead guard skills for the NBA, but there are lots of guys his size.

7. Payne might develop but then Chris Walker might have developed.

8. I don't see Bassett, Gak or Stokes as NBA prospects, how about you?

9. It is hard to know about Glover, but he is really small or Jitoboh.

So where are your 4 or 5 likely to play in the Association? All of these guys are fine college players and hopefully make a great college team, but I see 1.5 maybe likely to play in the NBA.

Seriously, based on Insti's analysis, UF should just give the sport up!

Ones I’d bet on: Nembhard, Johnson, Blackshear and Lewis.

Potential: Locke and Mann
