He won two East titles without ever having to put Clarabelle in, he "busted his ass" for us. We were blessed that the greatest AD ever had the vision to choose butters, sign him to a great contract, give him raises and extensions, (that fooley learned from mushchump were necessary). We got off lucky having to pay those millions after firing him. He deserved the full contract.

When we win our next National Title, he should be invited to the celebration, he will have played a huge part of it. Because you can only go up, once you hit rock bottom!

I heard Stricklin gave him another raise and extension in May.

Whining about the past is really not constructive, and if we return to championship caliper, improve our basketball teams then money will be there to do what is required in a controlled and planned way. I don't see whatever deficiencies in our facilities making a severe negative impact on recruiting. Not winning did.

I don't like that we had a poor contract with him, I don't like he failed, but we keep our words.

This went way beyond winning and losing. He didn't live up to the terms of his contract, and should have been fired for cause. No buyout. Period.

Don't piss off the agent you are currently doing business with. More than Butters gets that money, have to remember all the parties in the involved.

I totally agree but that might have meant a long court fight. I do wonder about no offset for a future job, this seems like either a very poor lawyer or a pay off of some kind.

Let's hope we don't need to do this any time soon.

Should pay him in counterfeit money seeing as he was a counterfeit coach.
