He’s been bashing wiLLLLLLLie left and right. Is he lying on that? It looks like there is a difference between him talking about the noles and him evaluating players. When it comes Taggelwain, he seems to be honest. When it comes to player evaluations and selling subscriptions, his honesty goes out the window. His spin on Boatwright and Atcavage was complete bullshyte. That sort of dishonesty just goes under my skin.

I completely agree with CGgater about Newberg and in addition Newberg was quite careful with his wording. He said receiver not "wide receiver." So a TE is a receiver, Bell is from Georgia and any guy getting power five offers is in some sense a top player at his position..

Also a recruiting analyst always wants to say in good with the player who has decommitted so that the recruiting analyst gets a heads up about the kid committing the next time. So as both of you suggested Newberg was just doing his job and when we read anything from him, we need to remember what his job is.

Ive see zero of that. Last week Newberg was pimping the 2 star they landed over Davidson and Coastal Carolina.

BTW, I dont doubt the info he was being told hed be some amorphous H back guy. Im Iot a big fan of those guys without a position.

I'm also tired of getting the fourth tear stuff out of Georgia that Ugly, trailerbammer Clemson and Barn didn't want.

If we're going to land a 3-star at least let it be a kid from Florida.

He may be the 12th rated receiver by a service but that doesn’t mean he’s anywhere near top of the board for our staff. Just like Marks and Weston were actually top of Mullen’s board. It wasn’t settling for this staff they wanted both of those guys bad. We’ll have to wait and see who evaluated better

He does it on the podcast. You are right in the sense that I’ve never seen him write a negative word. That is why I differentiated between what he says about the staff and what he writes on player evaluations. Last season, Newberg was ranting about how unorganized wiLLLLLLLie was on the trail. He’s not that bad right now, but it’s close.

Not sure. Rivals lists him 6’3 295 and had him 39th at his position and 69th in the state.

Rivals says he’s projected at tackle so we likely put him fairly high. He’s got a committable offer and likes Hevesy’s drive to improve players.

Sitting on offers from scUM, FSU, GT, Mizzou, but I’ll have to check to see if the big boys are after him. Don’t think so.

Edit: yeah, we’re the biggest dog in this fight so if he goes elsewhere it’s possible wdwha.

If Manuel bails or doesn’t qualify we are left with Johnson and Fraziars at the moment at WR. That’s not a good look combined with the way WRs just vanished from the 2019 class.

But if we get Henderson, Smith and Britt we should be ok.

Im really irritated at him. I'm sure it was only a split second but my mind shut off for a while after the point where it said I'm decommitting.

it's sad really. we used to have dozens of guys like this in every class. now we cling to our one or two elite players.
