UF vs. FAU and FIU facilities?

Yep. So many people whistling past the graveyard on this issue, just like mediocre recruiting ("we'll just coach em up better!"). Not sure how anyone doesn't have a problem with the "we're not getting into an arms race..." comments. Then they wonder why we got blown out by Missouri the last two years....
How does the arms race coincide with losing to Mizzou ? Is Mizzou winning the arms race? Have they out recruited us?

What kind of stupid question is that? We've become Missouri, we've become South Carolina, we've become Miss State, and Arkansas, etc. We're a 7-5 to 9-3 type program (with an occasional losing season thrown in for good measure), just like those programs. Have you been asleep the last 10 years? If we had upgraded facilities we likely recruit better and we likely land better coaches than Will Muschamp and Butters - neither of which were the top choices (well, maybe since Foley thought he was the smartest guy in the room)....instead, here we are. Talk about whistling past the graveyard!

When the plans for the stand alone were released it had an area designated for future expansion. I had hopes it would be used for a world class sports science building for all sports.
But this is UF and sports will always play second fiddle to the rest of the university.
I can't say now what will actually be located on that parcel of land but, its damn sure not football related or connected to the UAA. I really don't know why our biggest donors even bother anymore.

After looking at our new carpet squares and LED lighting, the F$U pic is exactly that. The ceiling logo, floor logo and lighting catch your eye, but it’s just lockers. The spoked rows look dividing and the floor is just polished and painted cement.
You are correct. Also, imagine the FSU locker room after a game. Everybody is hot, sweaty and pockets full of drugs and cash. Now, imagine your locker is down one of those rows. Maybe you got into the locker room late because you were fellating the gold and purple gays in glitter. So, now you gotta slide through the tangled mound of wet meat to reach your locker down that narrow row.

No thanks. I much prefer the more spacious floor layout of our locker room.

And the drop ceilings will never come into play unless we win a championship and attempt to celebrate by throwing the game MVP or some Coach up on the player's shoulders and they hit their head. It then goes viral in Tweeter as "Gators don't know how to celebrate" at #Crucialiswigger

But, per many on here, that scenario will NEVER play out because of our AD somehow.

I think you are just throwing everything together. You ask about getting blown out by Mizzou and respond we are Mizzou? We hired muschamp and mcelwain because that's who Foley wanted, not because of the arms race. We recruited great with SOS, zook, meyer, and muschamp. Recruiters recruit. We simply hired one buffoon and now have a guy who hasn't put an emphasis on having coaches who can recruit.

Folks thinking has to be the best, or the worst. You are either first, or last. Arkansas? Cmon. That's just silly talk. Even though you say our ceiling is 9 wins, Mullen won 10 his first season with a mcelwain roster. Has USC ever won 10 games without SOS?

All this graveyard talk....what is that? You think the crash is coming? The crash already happened. The rebuild has already started.

Muschamp being a good recruiter is one of the biggest lies this board tells over and over again. The guy had some solid defensive classes but couldn't land a decent offensive class to save his ass. He had a couple decent guys but holes all over...hell he left butters 5 scholarship OL. The guy was ****ing terrible...and so was butters. Mullen isn't a great recruiter but he's fighting this game with his hands behind his back with these god awful facilities and the absolute hack job fooley and his band of misfits he hired did to this program. Who without O&B glasses on would sign on to this school right now after the lost decade we've had? If i were an impartial kid i'm looking anywhere else I can...but most of us here are not impartial and can't look past our love of the program and see it for what it currently is

9-3 I said, regular season. That wasn't the point. Butters won 10 games if you want to go that route. Arkansas beat our ass last time we played them. Again, you're whistling past the graveyard if you can't see not having upgraded facilities isn't hurting us.

Mullinz was .500 against Burp Bielema, who finished with the silver medal in fat, lazy recruiter olympics. Burp was lucky to finish in the top 70 in recruiting.

I love you pumpers, but our HC has a resume already. You sound like Tinerc trying to make him some genius who can never be stopped.

Muschamp is a great recruiter. Now he might be misguided, and offensively inept, but the guy can recruit.

Without O&B glasses on how many school would you sign with? About 3? If you were truly being impartial who are your top10 schools?

you keep harping on this graveyard thing, but it's out of context. Upgraded facilities are coming. Why bitch about something that is in the works?

Do you think anything has changed since that last time we played arky? But yes, you are correct they beat our ass a few years ago.

I dont recall Mullins winning the conference. I do recall SOS doing it.... at Duke. Duke won the ACC IN FOOTBALL.

iI also dont recall SOS being .500 against two of the worst coaches in the comference (Luke and Burp).

Cherry pick much? Duke was 8-4 that year. You sound like one of our fans who was impressed that mcelwain won the east twice.

I believe in todays world of young adults who follow the idea of what about me and that should be mine are fully wrapped up in that philosophy!! By saying this I mean that the argument of scr*w them let them go elsewhere is why we can only pull 3* players on the regular and even that has to be supplemented with 2* players to keep the flow of player moving forward each year!! This is the kind of thinking of people from the depression era where (We gotta just tighten our belts and move forward) was the norm..
While that worked back in the early 20th century todays society is all about the look at me look what I've got and mine is better!!
So if all of us want to REALLY be back at the top looking down on the rest even the go somewhere else people have to know and understand that to get there we not only need to keep up with the Jones's we must surpass them!!
And letting the Jones's build a manson that has a 1000 rooms,1000 bathrooms 300 car garage
and 35 Olympic pools while we have a ranch house 100 rooms 20 bathrooms
no garage and 1 public pool to offer well if you can't see why any kid in todays world would pick the Jones's manson over our ranch house then I can't help clear it up anymore than that for you Time for talk about new bigger and better facilities is a must!! And going that EXTRA mile to be even bigger and better
than the rest is what it takes to not only rule the top of the mountain but to own the top of the mountain!!! UA as much as I hate and loathe them and being one of I believe the poorest states in our country spends millions and millions of dollars a year on the horse that got them there and that's why they get all the best 5* and 4* players in the country because even as poor and broke as they are they demand that they stay at the forefront of there schools facilities and settle with no less!!
UF is a money juggernaut we need to grab the bull by the horns and go 120% in on the facilities before we're just a community college!! That's the whole pennies worth

So cater to the idiots? No thanks.

CDM is building this the right way but it takes time and money. Be patient and don't create your image to be that of what you THINK others want. Be yourself, live by a standard, have morals and they will flock to be a part of what you're building.

We're seeing the results already and better things are coming.

Yes, trust THIS coach.

One of the ironies to come out of this Alabama run is the school’s academic profile has drastically increased because the schools application pool improved enough for the rankings to increase as well.

You’d think Forida would realize that value since it experienced a similar bump starting in the 90s that hasn’t stopped.
