He probably should have avoided that one considering the 2 other losses.
I get what you’re saying, but he’s obviously implying that a win in Jax may have had a significant impact on how they played the following week. Mullen himself talked later about the team letting uga beat them twice. Speculative or not, I like that he’s not shying away from his own criticism. It’s one thing to talk about your team making better plays or being close. But it shows a lot of leadership and maturity to lay essentially all the blame at your own feet. Far cry from the “you don’t think we’ve gotten better?!” quip back in 2017. The physical improvements he showed last year get all the headlines. But to me, it’s the mental 180 he’s made in just over a year under Mullen that is the most impressive.
Even if a little reaching, quotes like this are encouraging to hear from him.
He is showing that sign of a great QB, forgetfullness. We were going to the playoffs except for Ugly... and UK and Mizzu. We will see with Franks. I hope he has matured but he has a history of not handling adversity that well sometimes with his attitude and showed that last season some also. I hope we don't have an early loss in the first 4 games or I think he may revert back to that defensiveness again.

Perine can't win the Heisman unless FF hands or throws him the ball, so in that sense he will be contributing to that 4th Heisman!Yep said he was focused on getting a 4th Heisman trophy statue for Florida also. You have to give him credit for being positive I guess...

Hey, a guy can dream can't he? Actually, the bigger impediment to a CDM coached RB ever winning a Heisman is the running back by committee approach. I think it's smart to have fresh runners and definitely prolongs the RBs career, but it will hurt the "Lamical for Heisman" campaign I'm working on.With so much emphasis on throwing the ball these days, any running back's opportunity to win the Heisman is severely limited...
I've thought since the day he committed he was the best back on the field. And once he committed he wouldn't talk to bama or the barn. Wanted to be a Gator. SEC NetworkI’m so pissed I forgot to record the first day of Media Days. Was Spurrier there?
