I dont understand peoplemadding LSU to the list. They are probably.my second favorite SEC team. Id Iuch rather see them win the west wc I know they wont be hard to beat any given year.

This.

As far as the biggest rival I believe it depends more on your age than where you live. I grew up in Georgia and was in 6th grade when Florida won it's first national championship. Having lived here and listening to their $hit most of my life I can still say they don't hold a candle to the hatred I have for fsu. Those fsu games throughout the 90's just had a completely different feeling, for me the cocktail party just doesn't have the same animosity.

I guarantee you if you ask 100 uga fans who their biggest rival is 100 will say Florida. But if you ask 100 Florida fans you'd be lucky if half say uga and that drives these uga fckers crazy.

Duh. And pretending means you are acting like something you are not ... which is the same as wrong?
I'm unclear what your issue is here. I was angling for humor at my own expense with what I wrote. You're intent on turning this into something it isn't.

Prolly also depends on what level fan you are too. ;-) As a season ticket holding, alumni, in Florida I’ve seen the FSU game at home over 15 times.

For me it’s FSU and it’s not even close. I relish anytime FSU loses in anything. No win is ever more satisfying and no loss is ever more painful. I don't have the same hatred for the Dawgs. Not sure why, perhaps its an SEC pride thing fostered by living out West for 30 years.

After going to the UF/FSU game in Tally I went from a serious dislike of them to utter hatred...but I’ve hated UM since the beginning of my football watching so we’ll see after the game...being from a family of Bama fans and a Bama wife I have a grudging respect for them

No intent other than to add onto the humor of making fun at your expense? It was a joke.

This is the root of it for me. I just rewatched the 1997 Sugar Bowl on SEC Network. Not only were those rivalry games where each team was in the top ten for basically the entire decade, but I recalled them being such nasty games and FSU being the dirtiest football team of my lifetime. Watching our first Natty again only confirmed my memory. FSU was flagged for 14 penalties, about 7 personal fouls, and it easily could have been about 4 more. In today’s game, they might have had 5-6 players ejected. I don’t just recall that 90’s FSU team being the largest group of scumbags ever assembled. That was reality. This my hate for them is much higher.

Hate UGA all you want, and tie it to the SEC, but no other rival has had games were each team’s stakes were so mutually high in each game for a decade or more. It was a unique period of a rivalry in the history of all of college football for that reason.

Look... I know the game was played in Jan 97.... but it isnt the 97 Sugar Bowl. It was the 96 Bowl Coalition NC game, and it was part of the 96 season.

I guess you think we didnt have have a bowl game in 1995 then.

I’ve tried really hard to forget that we did.

No... that was apparently the 1996 Fiesta Bowl.

Look at this disaster: Category:Florida Gators football bowl games - Wikipedia

Toolbags think we had two 1992 bowls. About half the wiki authors are stupid.

It appears we have been deceived all along and we won the 1997, 2007, and 2009 BA or BCS national championships. Someone needs to change the trophies and stadium.

Georgia. Their crimes cannot be undone with a hundred straight years of ass whippings. The payback will never be sufficient.

That said, FSU has given it hell trying to catch Georgia. I have to tip my cap to their sheer depravity.
