CBSsports is reporting the odds from Westgate Las Vegas Superbook:

Kyle Boone CBSsports said:

FLORIDA

Odds: 20-1

Why to bet the Gators: Florida already had juice as an SEC contender with Noah Lockeand Andrew Nembhard returning. But the addition of five-star freshmen Scottie Lewis and Tre Mann in addition to graduate transfer Kerry Blackshear is absolutely jarring. The Gators will push Kentucky as an SEC contender, and I think they have the most upside of any team on this list if the pieces fall in place as I expect.

Here is the link to the entire story:

College basketball national title odds: Kentucky and Memphis are best bets, but there's not much value in Duke

Vegas: Florida is 20-1 odds

Mike White: That means more drills diving for loose balls.

Still convinced we could miss the tourney and people would be screaming that White needs another year.

*NOTE: I’m not a fire White guy, but the all out defense by many got so ridiculous. Plus although I like our recent pick up, I think the losing ANOTHER big man for a guard is stupid in light of front court depth and quality being an issue for the past two seasons. (Hayes was a hard worker and good Gator, but he wasn’t a threat to anyone).

Not sure there is enough experience on the team for a Natty but a Sweet 16 appearance should be the minimum expectation.

Until he proves me wrong, I’m still f the opinion Mike White is our Leonard Hamilton. I hope he makes me eat those words. But, I have no faith in his coaching.

I agree. I suspect there has NEVER been a coach who 100% of the fan base thought should not even get another year. You know there were UF fans who wanted DeVoe and certainly McElwain to remain in their jobs.

It takes a bit of luck in the tourney, but I agree that UF should make the tourney, get a decent seed and win a couple of games in the tourney.

I am trying to be cautiously optimistic though I am in show me mode on White a little bit. I will say 3 NCAA tourneys in four years is hard to argue with. I would just like to see some kind of offensive strategy.

Its really hard to argue with when you consider how snake bitten we have been with injuries. Feels like the football curse moved over to basketball. Who loses a player to concussions in basketball? Egbunus freak situation. Stone going down after finally showing some stuff. Etc etc.

I'm not a huge fan of his offense so far but man, we have overcome some serious issues to make the tournament

Now we are a basketball school, thanks Foley.
2006-2008 were the most glorious years of my UF fandom. We were a football school AND basketball school, and champions at both.

Sure would be nice to return to hoops glory. White has the horses. Can the horses count on White? Dunno.
