Yeah, let me be direct and get this noted on the record. Feleipe Franks is not winning the Heisman Trophy this year.

Okay, can we move on to more important business now that this issue is settled?

The article you presented, Theo, may hint at Trask's MO = the anti-stress pathway. 2 times, as Trask approached getting hard-focused in the game, he injures himself 2x off the field. His major & his career is Sports Management. That seems an avenue where you can choose your level of stress. Of course, that path won't get you on the spotlighted field, if you avoid it.

Of course, I'm just feeding the myth. Actually, if Franks had jumped to the NFL, I think Trask could adequately lead his Gators. Every in-game pass Trask has thrown looked good to me, by quickness of release, by tight spiral of good control, etc. I hope this season Franks gets us so far ahead in games that Trask gets in and does well. When Franks leaves after this season, we'll have Emory and Trask, two solidly trained QBs.

Confession: it was a shameless donkey-prod.

What would any of us give to run out of that tunnel in uniform on game day, even as a walk-on? He’s making a solid foundation for a very good life.

Wow I'm an idiot I thought this was real for a minute.

It feels weird to be optimistic about a QB heading into the season. I'm not even sure when the last time I felt that way was

Franks’ actual Vegas odds are 100-1 or completely off the board depending on the book. I’d still rather be the house on this one.

My only expectation for FF going into the UM game is that he is adequate enough to not lose. Lets hope the pressure stays off him early in the season. Maybe then he will evolve into a great QB with each win.

Sounds about right. I'm still optimistic about him tho. So long as the line comes together (man it gets old saying that), I think he can be pretty good.

Certainly not Heisman good

But still very solid
