The NCAA tests for weed and bans you.

Its still a crime inntje United States of America and most of our recruits are American. I dont know what you plan on doing.

Not really....the NCAA tests 18-24 players every fall around the pre season and maybe first 4 or so weeks of season. They only bring 18-24 test kits. Most kids know the schedule and act accordingly....I’m out.

So.... we need to kids smart enough to not fail the tests?

Winning what? Have we been winning championships that Ive forgotten?

We celebrating 3rd in the SEC East now? Is that how we roll?

I said last year doesnt really matter, but Id like to see momentum and improvement (check) and an elite receuiting class (far from it).

It is easy to guess what the soup will be like from seeing the ingredients on the table.

Mullinz recruiting deserves derision. It is only ever so slightly better than Butters, and frankly Butters was a lazy ass and didnt even try. This isnt all Mullinz fault, however, as weve done almost nothing to support him in year 9 of this never ending rebuild.

Choker's 60th ranked defense deserves derision. Once he is gone you pumpers will badmouth him and say it was obvious. Im just not too blinded to call a horse a horse now.

Great question before you hit us with these fresh takes of yours! To answer your question, the Gators won games last year. Games is what Rocket was likely referring to. We went from 4-7 in 2017 to 10-3 in 2018. We won 6 more games last year than the previous.

I don't know that Mullen will be able to win championships or not - neither do you - but winning one his first year on the job doesn't mean he won't. However, winning 10 games in a season following a 4 game-winning season isn't something to scoff at. You don't have to jump on someone else's comment, frame it the way you want and then remind us all again of what you think is the take on Mullen.

...but I understand your question wasn't a real one, just a quick segue back to your mantras. Don't forget those boxers from K-Mart or that Wapner's in 15 minutes.

Im sure they will two catch their two screen passes a game.

I swear, Euro, you show an unabashed disrespect for "the rude of Law". Mullenz will be a winner when Swonkey says so and not one win sooner.

He was handed a gift, Taggelwain, that no other UF coach has had and another, Diaz , which we will exploit later. Lets Lets not even talk about the Bayou Grunter.

Still cant out recruit.

No, losing to Kintucky and Mizzu doesnt impress me at all.

You are still my favorite crusty ass, raging old pumper though.

Given your predictions and pumping til the last second for the last two mistakes we hired, as Sofla would say, you should probably sit this one out.

You are just an old, crusty pumper. I would NOt call you raging.

You are MUCH more subtle than your German compatriot.

Hell, you arent a Mullinz pumper at all. I know it and you know it, even if others forget.

Probably PSU from what seems to be the consensus. He has the green light to commit to us as a linebacker but not as a RB. We told him that if he balls out this year he can commit. We also told Drennen to wait. He's supposed to commit to OSU soon which might help us with EJ Smith

We have been talking to Tank Bigsby out of Georgia, 5'11.5", 206#, 4.6/40:

I really like his film. A nice blend of speed, power and toughness. Good receiver out of the backfield. We need to to win him from Auburn.

We’re gonna screw around and end up with no one at RB and all this “green lighting” is what? Seeing if something better comes along first?

So what is correct? That he blocks well and averages 2 catches a game and 400 yards a year like the average Mullinz starting WR?

Someone will have to start at some point, between the Marks and Johnsons of the world. Im sure they will two catch their two screen passes a game.

Remember all those great diamond in the rough 3* receivers Mullinz developed at Cowbell? Me neither.

Excellent points all, but then the no need for star WRs in this offense also feeds into evaluating a Mullen class. After all if you are not going to use a star WR very much it is not clear you want to sign one and create a malcontent on your squad.

Again as Ancient Reptile has indicated a true evaluation of recruiting is more complicated than counting stars. Still stars in a class can be indicative and they may even be more indicative for a roster of 80 to 85 players.

Ive said repeatedly "mehhh" to WRs and DBs recruits and complained about problems at both lines (DL more so) and ILB.

We're apparently still pursing Ruben Hyppolite at MLB, which I'd be all in favor of. Once Reese leaves we don't have a true MLB on the roster....but he has visits set to Alabama and Penn State (while currently committed to Maryland).

He or a DT would be my next most important get, if we are reduced to just a handful of good players a year.

EDIT: He is smaller and lower ranked than I thought. Still any inside backer is a high need.

Less than 3 weeks now. I’m looking forward to getting back to Gainesville for a bunch of games. Always a good time. Might spend a little extra time in the Salty Dog drinking a few more ice cold beers given that the clock is ticking on its demise. No doubt the season will be a lot of fun.

Speaking of demise...stopped in Gainesville Friday on the way back home Friday. Had an Italian sub at Larry’s as I always do then popped in the barber shop next door for a quick haircut. They too will be pushed out at the end of the year. They’ve been there since the 1960’s! Fortunately they are moving nearby....right on 34th St next to the Latin restaurant and across the street from Publix.

Impress you? Who cares if you're impressed?

I answered your question - the one you didn't really care about, other than to segue back into your shtick.
:deadhorse:

As for your point about my predictions, your memory is faulty. I have no problem admitting that I rejected the claims of certainty of some and held to the hope for success. I held those hopes for too long. However, my whole angle was to not make certain predictions. Just because I called into question your powers of prognostication doesn't mean that I predicted the opposing result.

TL,DR?
