Never been to Ol Miss, thinking this would be time to do it.
Me too. Tried to go when we lived in Memphis (‘07), but couldn’t find a baby sitter, so Mrs G. went and took a sorority sister instead of me. Might be fun to do a long weekend in Memphis; Oxford is only an hour away.

I'm hoping to attend the Ole Miss game as well, but if not, I can probably make the Vandy game in Nashville. I was there the last two times they played in Oxford and haven't been back there since.

Also, next year is a good year to have an easy schedule. I suspect we will take a step back next year on both sides of the ball.

@Ole Miss is a bucket list game. Told the wife we are going when I got home today. She said, I didn’t think we played miss this year......

Its a pretty typical schedule. Don't get the angst. Its actually a step up from 2018 when we played 2 FCS teams.

Five out of the six games to start the season are in Gainesville. Then we have one in Nov. against Mizzou. I wish they could do something about the balance of Home and Away games. We get one maybe with cool temps at Home.

Eastern Washington: Butters Bowl I, his Alma Mater, the wellspring from which he flowed.

J.R.R. Tolkien framed how the Gators should approach it.

“And into this [game], he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life.”

Not that this is a good game for us, but they're not going to roll over for the big bad Gators. Eastern Washington lost in the 1AA national championship game last year. They open this season at Washington. A UF should never lose a game like this, but it's safe to say this 1AA program is better than nearly half of D1 (most of the Group of Five schools). If we still had Will Muschamp walking the sidelines I'd be very concerned about this one....

Our local high school QB (Flowery Branch, GA) just committed to S Bama. His 3rd college game will be in the swamp. I really hope he isn't forced into action that day. He is a poor man's Skyler Mornhinweg.

Sounds like a good idea. I haven't been shot in years.
Lol. It's actually a fun town, you just have to know where to go and more importantly where not to go. I lived there for five years and am well versed. It's actually a lot like New Orleans, only BBQ instead of Cajun food.

Maybe you and NOLA can do a comparison of cities and let us know what our likelihood of getting shot is.

What's life without a little excitement? As Winston Churchill once noted: "Nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result."
