So can we finally lay to rest this myth that SEC schools can block transfer to other SEC schools? Can't imagine Kirby dumb not blocking the transfer if he could.

@NickdelaTorreGC: So, to my understanding, Cox would need to file a waiver to the NCAA as well as one to the SEC office if he wants to play this season (2019). I can't imagine Kirby Smart or Georgia would take that laying down. Still, I think UF will apply for waivers.

If him playing depends on the UF admission office to apply for his waivers we may see him bye 2021.

Also if nothing else this keeps our 5* streak alive. Weren't we in jeopardy of playing this year without a consensus 5* in forever? I know we have Grimes but I don't think he was a consensus 5*.

He’s enrolled and practicing today with the team. They are working on a waiver for him as well. Who knows if that goes through or not but awesome news on this Friday. Get me Kelvin Joseph now

Looks like the walk ons pushed it to 49%. You’re right. But with attrition and the new class coming in as long as we don’t tank should push us to a healthy 53-55 percentile again. Still growth in the right direction after butters decimated the roster

I don’t think the walk-ons should be counted in that percentage. They are a valuable part of the team but don’t tend to factor into games. If they do, and they get a scholarship, then I’d count them.

And I think one should calculate the percentage based on actual scholarship players on the roster, be it 76 or 83 - whatever. It doesn’t make sense to use 85 when you have a known number.

A fun exercise is to lay out the depth chart on a spreadsheet then replicate it but with only the stars. The you can gauge the depth from that perspective and see where the recruiting and transfers have been solid or not.

Why not, right? Seems like the NCAA gives them out like candy these days. He should submit a copy of the request Justin Fields submitted and cross out everywhere it says "Fields" and write in "Cox."

The two Five stars on the roster are both transfers. But at least they're here. I haven't seen when Cox will be eligible. Is he going to be eligible for 2020 I'm guessing? Also is he considered a "transfer"? He's not in the portal. He just got dismissed from Uglay. **** Georgia btw! Let's take any defectors that we can get from them. Come over to the light. The good guys. I think we beat Georgia this year. They're not the same team from the last two years where they were elite. We're still the Gators and they're still the sorry ass Dawgs. I don't think we've lost they edge in this rivalry. We will get it back and then go on a run of like 5 or 6 in a row against them again. They had their few years of title shots and now we're growing again into a strong program. **** all Dawgs! Go Gators!

If Cox was dismissed from Georgia and he did not initiate the transfer I think he will become eligible for this year.

He wasn't dismissed BTW, that is a UGA fan spin.....his family immediately came out and dismissed it. Case in point is he wasn't happy there and was lied to

2020-- Buck- Brenton Cox, Jeremiah Moon, Khris Bogle, David Reese, Mohamoud Diabate, Antwuan Powell & I feel like I'm forgetting one or two.

SDE- Zach Carter, Andrew Chatfield, Gervon Dexter?

DT- Slaton, Conliffe, Humphries, Lamar Goods, Johnnie Brown.
Am I forgetting anybody? We have a lot of Bucks. But it is nice to have a lot potential at that position. Zach Carter is going to be a beast. I'm really excited to see what he does this year. Because I really like Zuniga but I think Carter has more natural talent. Carter looks like a different guy. He's looking like a solid first rounder just body-wise.
