You must be a SeaBee...you were talking LA...I'm not from here.

I was talking MS where you live.

And I was born on a military base.

My Dad won the Golden Gloves in the Corps...so?
My niece got a 99 on her ASVB...so?

I've got family in the Navy. so?
One is a SeaBee with a SEAL Team...So?

Maybe you and Dirty need to go compare "short legs"

I get it you hate Louisiana and you're big and bad.
I don’t live in Mississippi which is why I used the past tense “lived”. That Louisiana must’ve rubbed off on you.

Why are you quoting your family’s accomplishments and contributions to this country? They have nothing to do with you. As far as Louisiana goes... this whole exchange started when I alerted you to a post that inferred LSU’s education was inferior to UFs. You spiraled from there, including an assertion that I was dumb because I was with the Seabees. I don’t really care one way or the other about Louisiana but I do find your predictable responses funny. Keep up the hyperventilating pre-teen act - very entertaining!

As for LSU AND UF... I graduated from both.

Did you?

You insinuated being from Louisiana I was fat...which I am...and dumb which I'm not.

As for the SeaBees, a Seabee with a 99 ASVAB said most in the SeaBee were not that swift.

You talk military...I was a military brat...my dad did 22+ years and is buried in Pensacola NAS. ...I know a little about military life.

You called me out...yes, I like Louisiana

So go grab your PT Gear...run 4 miles and STFU.

I haven’t trashed anything. I pointed out facts. It is corrupt. It is one of the most over weight states. It is 48th in .

And it has a very high ratio of kids recruited especially in the USMC.

Recruiters I know love getting kids from here.

But that's okay...you are right.

I served at Paris Island. I know all about the recruits they get. I can assure you, Louisiana isn’t special to the Corps. The Corps gets most of their folks from rural areas... which the South has in abundance.

Yes, you used the past tense. With a Mississippi education, you might have used the past perfect tense and we would have known that the action of living in Mississippi had been completed.

No, I didn’t graduate from LSU - it was an option but I wanted to enjoy my postgrad experience. BR is a terrible town. I did get my engineering degree from Florida and I’m currently getting my masters in engineering management from Colorado.

I didn’t insinuate you were fat. Learn to read. I said you live in a fat state. Which you do.

Your intelligent Seabee niece is not wrong. They aren’t all the brightest. Neither are the officers that lead them, one of which I am. That doesn’t mean there aren’t smart and talented enlisted and officer personnel in battalions or any military unit. I’m not sure why you keep hammering this point - not the best look.

Funny you mention 4 miles as I knocked that out on the trails in the Rocky’s yesterday. Maybe you out to sit out message boards for a while. It’s apparent you are too emotionally unstable for them. Or maybe Tiger Droppings is a better fit as I’m sure they’d be more likely to commiserate with you about your crappy state.

“Having lived” implies I’ve lived there in the past. I would’ve used “living” if I was still present. But I’ll be more concise in the future to avoid confusion.

Within 2 days this thread has went from arguing about the legalization of pot to which old guy is in the best shape to military service smack talk to a dick contest. I'm just glad we've finally gotten back around too talking about the important stuff.

Just getting all the off-season BS out before next Saturday. Then we can turn to arguing and complaining about the team’s performance, play selection, coaching decisions, etc.

We've still got time for instigator to completely derail a thread with his abbreviations, you know it's gonna happen.

I just want to state for the record that Louisiana IS a giant sh*thole...but nothing is worse than Mississippi.

Absolutely. I can’t wait for him to establish some random yardage number or win total to determine absolute success... like 4800 yards of offense or 10 wins... then change his mind later and decide that it still wasn’t successful later because it didn’t happen like he thought. I’ve noticed he’s gotten back to responding to others with numbered bullets - looks like he’s getting back into mid season form early!

we aren't have nots. we just act like have nots.

I'm sure they do that so you'll have knots.

I for one am happy we don’t let mouth breathers in to UF.

Be a good place for a university's education degree students to pioneer succeeding with the learning handicapped.

I grew up in FL and some of the rudest people I knew were on the "Gold Coast

I know, hardly any, any I met would let me hang around. What's wrong with them?

Nobody expands on abbreviations like Insti.

You make it easy.

If you could read you would know, I dont go to LSU Games unless they are playing the Gators. I was ALL Gator at LSU.

And BR may not be great but LSU is a very nice campus

Now I like UF better but you missed a great experience people are great.

If you are an Engineer I must admit you are probably very bright. Unless you are a Chem E, Petroleum, Civil...other schools are better.

Colorado School of Mines?

I am an AG boy...Pre Vet.

All that said, I find it sad how you judge places. But that's okay...I find this especially with younger Grads.

Like YOU explained, in the Seabees...it has some good points...its not all bad BUT neither is LOUISIANA

Now I know I am not near as smart as you but geez it took a SLEDGE....hammer.

Merely pointing out that TD would have more fans likely to share your Louisiana enjoyment. Never questioned your fan hood.

I wouldn’t pick a PG school for the campus. I chose for the all around experience. Boulder and the surrounding area >>>>>>> BR and the surrounding swamps.

No, CU. And my undergrad was ag and bio engineering so at least we have something in common, I guess.

And again, I’m not judging just passing on my experiences of the state. I’ve been to BR multiple times and other places throughout the state. Not as bad as the NE but not my favorite. As stated earlier, I like the other Southern states and a few other places better.

Let's get it together. Every state has good points and bad points. Try to live in a state whose good points are important to you and whose bad points aren't. Support whatever state you do live in. Enjoy the good points and do your best to improve and otherwise overlook the bad points.
In this particular thread, everyone has heard enough bickering. Let it go. Too bad there's no real news, but let it go.
