Why do people ruin polls by adding the stupid "ham sandwich" crap? If you want a serious poll, have serious answers.

I hate the “rather have” questions.

If we have to discuss an acceptable loss, I’ll take a hard-fought, 1 pt loss at lswho (which is always a tough place to play) that really was the result of a fluke play near the end. The regular season ends 11-1, beating ugaly and playing in atl. I doubt beating bamuh is a reasonable request yet, but hopefully a competitive game that shifts long term recruiting momentum towards the good guys.

I guess we could discuss states and their residents good/bad points and argue the medical necessity and morality of marijuana...would that help? In all seriousness though I was asking why it was an option. It was an honest question. The derailment after that was an unfortunate side effect of boredom and melancholy dues to the upcoming week standing between myself and a trip to Orlando.

Going 11-1 and losing to uga can still possibly keep us out of Atlanta and the playoff if both bama and uga are undefeated. In that scenario I'd much rather us go 9-3 and beat uga.

Also, I'd rather beat uga than lose in Atlanta, but I'd also rather win in Atlanta than beat uga.
Yep.

Living in ATL around sooooo many Ugly fans I could live with 9-3 as I really would like a year of them not running their yaps. Of course I could only accept the 3 if the losses are to LSU, Auburn, and.......not Tinerc, Mizzou, Vandy, scUM, FSU, UK, Martin, Towson, USCe, or Ugly.

Yes, I believe safeties play a role in the passing game and a weakness there can be exploited.
I agree they can be exploited but that's if you have a threat at Wr. At the moment UGA has not one pass catcher that is a threat to our secondary. I like our CB core vs their Wr core all day long. Their entire Wr core is much like their Safety its unproven. The major difference is we have 2 All American CB that will not allow their Wr's to get an opportunity to need a Safety in the passing game.

Now our Safeties could be a problem in their run game but as I said before we should be able to add a player to our box because of their lack of Wr threats so it shouldn't be a problem.

I really don't get why picking 9-3 should be an option for anyone. By picking that you'd rather have more losses but beat UGA. Hypothetically your saying you'd give up a possible playoff spot just to beat UGA.

The perception around the state of Fl is not that we cant beat UGA it's that were not there competing for playoff spots or championships. We get way more exposure going 11-1 and losing to UGA than we do by going 9-3 and beating them.

11-1 at the end of the season we are most likely 5th in the poll and depending on championship week we could find ourselves in the playoffs or at worse the media is debating whether we should be in the playoffs. That goes a lot further that beating UGA and going 9-3 and not being talked about at all.
