Will Delance play?

Defense, doesnt look good at safety, same faces. Also we dont appear to be pretending to be a 3-4 anymore and dont even both to show a third (same) linebacker, 4-2-5 all the way.

I'm not sure that lineup can stop Miami's run game. Dean will need to be a hell of a tackler.
Im going to guess Greenard is better vs run than Polite. He was atrocious. I expect Greenard to be much better.

Vosean was nonexistent vs the run. He just guessed and run blitzed. I expect Burney to be a step up.

I doubt Dean will be better at star but remember that Chauncey was terrible vs run as a freshman.

Now, saying that perhaps better than last year isnt saying much given that we were 60ish vs run.

I'll take it. This may be the most positive spin you've put on anything in months.

Looking for an explanation of Miami’s prolific run game against non-ACC power 5 teams was last year, with their top back g-o-n-e, throw in the 3 new line starters from a bad line, with our ludicrous experience on the line, and Miami starting two freshman, one true, on the line means we shouldn’t be sure we can stop it.

Just looking for the “why” of the comment with context of our defense vs. their run game.

Miami has no chance unless they can run the ball. I would love to shut them down from the start and force them to pass. Game over.

Defense does look thin at several positions and the two deep depth always an issue. I read that we are down to 73 players on scholarship. With a usual first game suspension list, this depth chart could go from thin to anorexic.

Those 3 bye weeks will really come in handy this year. Hold on to your butts.

Defense might be a little rough at spots this year, but Miami's entire offense was a complete and total clusterf*ck all of last year. I'm not that worried about them.

Last year, UM was one of the worst at executing on offense -- doubt that they've improved enough.
Hoping to see jumps in all our guys' developments.
Hope to see successful plays energize some step-pep. Let no drive get stalled. Let McPhearson save his foot for extra points only.
Let us make UM's O and D look inept and we run up the score.
Want the announcers saying: "Boy! Florida looks well coached. If I were a high school recruit, Florida would be my first choice"

I think run defense will be an issue as the season goes on as I am not sure Burney is instinctive enough with that with all his practice at different spots and not sure how good Dean will be in supporting that. But like said above Greenard should help some so maybe just last year level crappy run defense and not worse.

We've been on probation since 2010 or so. Never ending probation.

Caused by out athletic department refusing to allow "oversigning" which everyone knows won't be oversigning by fall.

All this self inflicted bullshyt is hard to swallow.

And they are going to be worse this year. Richt was mediocre but he is far better than Enos, and these kids won't even be at full "Enos level" until probably next year.

I don't know how the fvkk this is even a question.

I agree we always seem to be well below the 85 limit. With all the carry overs, gray shirts etc. how many can we sign for 2020?

We sure do have a plethora of talented WRs. I hope Franks, the O-line, and the playcalling can keep them all happy and productive.

I forget how many we signed early last year. That number plus 25 is the hypothetical limit.
