Our struggles were with ourselves. Miami is a decent team. Great linebackers. Good OL. True frosh qb. They will win 7-9 only because they have a soft schedule.
Their front 7 will wreak havoc on most teams they play. Agree about the mistakes tho... We win pretty handily without them.

Muschamp might have a 7 or 8 loss season! I cannot believe that arrogant, smug, dickhead landed another head coaching job....and not like Butters, but he got an SEC job. It's unbelievable and USC deserves to suck for the next decade!

How do you really feel though?

I could be wrong, but I think this is the first year that the SEC East had a combined opening record of 3-4. Yeesh. I don't know if the East has ever started the season with a combined losing record. Shouldn't be too surprising considering the East has Muschamp, Muschamp 2.0, Muschamp 3.0, and black Muschamp coaching for the losing teams.

One game, one opponent does not a season make.
Our problems need remedy. Next game: RBs better romp ... Franks better become a QB .... DBs better intercept ... Sacks better proliferate.

It really is amazing when you think about the crop of east coaches. The original muschamp and possibly Pruitt ( 3.0 I think) will be gone after this year.

Worth a read...

What Muschamp said after the loss to North Carolina

Quotes about Bentley looking like he’d rather just go home, the feeling that coaches and players look like deer in the headlights, comments about him using some technical coach jargon to explain his way out, all while trying not to lose instead of winning. Eerily familiar.

Almost forgot...after a completely plain offensive game plan that was in kill-clock mode in the entire second half, he’s talking about narrowing down and simplifying the offense...for a 4-year QB he’s had from day one.

I'm disappointed in the outcome of the game," Muschamp said in his opening comments. "Offensively in the first half we moved the ball. We had two procedure issues there at midfield that created a longer field goal than we wanted to attempt at the beginning of the second quarter. I thought we had success moving the ball. We really hurt ourselves in the second half, go up 20-9 and then get a holding call that bumps us out of field position.

Defensively I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of tackling in the game. You give up two over 90-yard drives when you're using (punter) Joe (Charlton) as a weapon to pin them back and think in terms of making a play and getting off the field. We had a couple third down plays we don't make plays on. We have a lot to improve on. We certainly will.”

I fully expect all starters out by the 4th quarter with at least 38 points up, 200+ yards rushed and over 300 in the air. If not its going to be a long frustrating season.

What a shiiat show in the East today! Muschamp will be gone at the end of the year. For some perspective, remember this...he was out coached today by a 68 year old man who hasn’t coached in 6 years! He doesn’t (or at least he shouldn’t) have anybody fooled anymore as to his coaching abilities and I don’t believe buyout money is an issue for USC. I just don’t see how he can survive this fiasco. As far as Tennessee, I knew Pruitt would be a disaster. What I didn’t know is he would be so bad as to lose to a team that’s been playing football for less than a decade and only playing FBS level for 6 years prior to this season. He may not get a 3rd year if he keeps this up. What a frickin disaster!

Ssshh! They are really good coaches. Time for a raise and an extension of contract and increase the buy-out too.

I’m as demanding as the next Gator, but what we’re witnessing in Knoxville is exactly what’s wrong with the idea of “ok, let’s fire him and get someone better” mindset. They really can’t do anything for a while because of the spectacle they’ve become in recent years. Who would take that job with the toxicity it currently possesses? Ironically, the primary reason they canned Fuller was because he wasn’t going to beat Meyer at UF or Saban at Ala

As it turns out, he would’ve only dealt with Meyer two more times before we went south. And given his record against Richt, he probably wins the East at least a few times in the next 4-5 years. Instead, they lose focus, make a risky move, and are now 11 years into a rebuild, with the fanbase pretty much already ready to kill the latest version, and are 1-19 against those teams in the process.

I’m in no way advocating a long drawn out disaster. But even the notion of “next coach” when we’re currently at 11-3, puts us dangerously close to ut territory.

No business model ever prided itself on high turnover or an overly short leash. It doesn’t work.

Umm, who else but...Gruden. They’re currently in negotiations (secretly, at Brad Culpepper’s house) for Chuckie to bail on the Raiders. Announcement coming any day now.

You really need to get with the program and get “in the know”.

It will be like when they lost to Indiana or someone like that a few years back. They will upset a couple of supposedly better teams in SEC play. Hopefully we aren't one of them again.

Watching part of these East games KY actually looked like to me they aren't going back to 6-6 this year. I could see them going 8-4 possibly.

Remaining schedule difficulty reassessed after Week 1?

1. Georgia - Definitely the most talented team we play.
2. LSU - At least roughly equal if not better talent - Will be a hard win to get on the road.
3. Auburn - A tough one - we have home field advantage but that true freshman QB will have a few games under his belt when they play us.
4. Kentucky - I don't see them having the big drop to 6-6 a lot of people see. I think this is either an 8-4 or 7-5 team at minimum.
5. Missouri - Yes they lost to Wyoming but they will pull a couple of surprise wins in SEC play I think.
6. FSU - Probably better than their collapse against Boise State - Defense was on the field for an insane amount of plays.
7. South Carolina - They are probably good for one surprise SEC win at least but will have a bad record with that schedule.
8. Tennessee - Appear to have major issues on defense but some of that was wearing down to Georgia State as they were on the field for a long time. Probably better than Vanderbilt overall.
9. Vanderbilt

I would say 9-3 likely but 10-2 is just a little more likely than before.

I kind of like Vandys Coach, he just happens to Coach at at a school where recruiting is difficult and fan base is non existent ( see last nights Ga. game). Don't see him as a black Muschamp at all, he's not a DICK.
