When I started the thread I thought, “could it get to the same level as the FSU is in shambles theead”, but there was no way they could be that bad and that off track.

I was wrong.

Saban’s Recycling Plan: Don’t just discard the assistants you run through like boxes from Amazon. Neatly fold them, put them by the curb and wait for needy rivals to collect them and promptly destroy their own programs. AND, collect and recycle fired HC’s to fill out obscure staff positions.
Is Jimbo Fisher his only successful protege?

Here is a test to see if you have even a shred of compassion: go to volnation and read any post, " Pruitt coaching for job..." and if you read the entire thread without feeling sorry for our rival, then you are totally without compassion.

Haven’t done that yet, but I’m going to make a bold prediction that my level of compassion for the vol$ on a scale of 1-10 will be somewhere between 0 and 1. For a variety of reasons that would take too long to list, I doubt my conscience will be an issue.

Anything greater than zero may trigger actual tears.

Let's face, UT played over their heads for a long time. They aren't in a recruiting-rich area where they should have been a national powerhouse. They were damn lucky they won a NC and should just be happy about that. Hell, Colorado used to be a powerhouse too.

My point is, those days are never coming back and they need to pray for 8 or 9 win seasons until the end of time.

Then I change my prediction to zero. Absolutely no way I'll cry for a rival fan base. If there's a natural disaster involved, then we can revisit to topic of potential tears.

Lucky??? They have several MNCs! Just ask any vole fan, they'll tell you.
Sad really. They used to win the preseason SEC/national championship all the time. It was their year! Now UGA has stolen that lofty perch from them. They have nothing.

Now I know why we connect...........that empathy thing.............but I will admit to a smile each time a rival gets humiliated........I figure it helps us in recruiting............AND I know they have smiled a lot the last decade or so.........

Reminds me of Nebraska. Problem is no kid was alive to remember Nebraska doing anything. There’s no pull for a kid to leave home to go there.

Last time the Vols were nationally relevant was around Nebraska’s demise also. Kids don’t care that Peyton played there. He’s a dinosaur to recruits.

Geography wise, Tennessee isn’t the wasteland Nebraska is, but other than being in the SEC, why would a kid go to U Toothless.

Florida should always be a powerhouse, they have no excuse. Tennessee fans need to lower their expectations. They have great facilities there (superior to ours), but some of the ugliest uniforms in college football. I can't imagine any HS player wanting to put those jerseys on.

Both UT and FSU appear to be mentally and emotional broken. After the way they looked on both LoS I don't see UT winning a SEC game this year. They got absolutely bullied.
