Would you have preferred he missed all the short throws that were called? WTF else did you want the QB to do other than execute the offense his HC implemented and the plays he called? Please explain in full detail.
There's a reason the game was called in such a manner, and it's NOT because "that's all Mullen ever calls". Until you realize that, it's a pointless conversation.

Mullen can't stand ANY of our QB's. He hates Franks with a passion. A big part of him wants to bench him badly, but he doesn't like the alternatives either.

If Mullen hated him he wouldn’t be starting. He’s the best we have and therefore he’s our starter. You just hate the guy because he told clowns like you to STFU last year and you’ll never get over it.

I can't stand the guy because he's an embarrassment on the field. If he was any good I'd be his biggest fan, regardless of his 2-year old antics that tards like you lap up for some reason.

I hate talking like this, I really do. I thought there was a chance he'd be better this year, but I'm quite sure he will regress BADLY. At this point I think we're looking at an extremely painful two months. I admire your loyalty, but you'll come around by November with all the others, MJM. You really won't have a choice after watching the games.

Tebow really did curse us. Hasn't been one QB worth a **** since he left.

I'll agree about the Tebow thing. Man, how hard is it to find ONE decent QB in 10 years? You can't swing a dead cat without hitting some freshman who is lighting it up for some other cfb team. UGA basically had 3 QBs on their roster at the same time that were all better than the best guy we've had in a decade. Makes zero sense.

That being said I didn't think FF made many if any mistakes last night, but I do have to wonder how much of our frustrating offense is due to coaching around his ability (or lack thereof).

There isn't a single doubt in my mind, NOT ONE, that Trask would have a better game than Franks if they both played a full game against the same opponent. Trask is a better passer than Franks, period. Neither one of them run well enough to be a fit in this offense....period. I was willing to see if Franks took a step forward on the field this year but so far it's painfully obvious he has not. Teams will be selling out to stop the run all season, and I don't blame them.

Part of me would rather just put Emory Jones in there and let him make mistakes and take our lumps and be ready to go next season.
Trask? Dude had a pretty TD pass but the dropped pick six he threw was worse than the Franks pick last week. No pressure, double clutched, threw directly to UTM with no Gator in sight. Hard pass on him. Franks is way better.

I could understand the Jones excitement but doesn’t seem ready, for whatever reason. I get increasingly tired of other teams playing true freshmen and it working just fine while our sophomores don’t look game ready.

Again, we'll all be on the same page about Franks in 2 months. Even Marine1, who has a cringe-worthy obsession with the kid.

Marine1 also told us Pierce was the next Emmitt Smith, and that hasn't quite panned out either. Those FCS defenders were too much for him to handle last night.

Are you going to start complaining about facilities, recruiting support staff, the ADs office, Mullinz, 3rd and Grantham, etc? If you want to be the new Law, make sure you hit all the wickets.

No, just Franks. Don't have an issue anywhere else in the program.

O-Line is bad.
This in a nutshell. OL seems slow, getting pathetic push off the ball and still not picking up key blocks. I guess they are young, nonetheless, they need to step it up. FF is average. Still can not find open receivers down field and is too quick to dump it off. It appears his mind processes the game a tick slower than reality. We are in big trouble when GOOD defenses load it up and force him to throw deep or eat it.

I understand the frustration at times with him. But he signed up to play here and is doing the best he can. Mullen obviously saw the need to add a QB in each of his first two classes, so he likely shares some of your concerns. But one messed up and the other isn’t ready. So the effort to improve the position has been there. It just hasn’t panned out yet. May as well support him, because he’s what we have.

Did you see the talent in the other side of the ball? It should have been over at the half.
UTM was running the slowest possible pace throughout the first half, they were playing keep away. All it took was a few first downs here and there and our offense was barely on the field.

Whoo boy. Can you imagine a Gator fan saying something like this during the Spurrier or Meyer eras?

No. We missed several big play opportunities to go deep and score fast early in the game. FF didn't pull the trigger.

It's accurate no matter who the coach is. If your offense isn't on the field, they can't score, can they?

So our defense allowing long drives by a FCS team is okay? How far into a corner are you going to paint yourself in with these excuses?

UF should have played far better against a FCS team, it's okay to say it. Lightning will not strike you.

Believe it or not, it’s exactly what Kiffin did against us in ‘09. He had no illusions of winning the game, and his ego preferred losing while not trying to win rather than getting blown out.
