They weren't long yardage drives. They had an 8 play, 34 yard drive, a 6 play, 4 yard drive, and another 8 play, 30 yard drive in the first half. Obviously no points were scored. No defense anywhere is ever going to stop a team from getting first downs. Ever. But when they're taking the full 40 seconds to run those 22 plays, that's nearly 15 minutes of clock when you include the time it takes to execute the plays. It's common sense and math. You really need to go take a Zoloft with Law.So our defense allowing long drives by a FCS team is okay? How far into a corner are you going to paint yourself in with these excuses?
UF should have played far better against a FCS team, it's okay to say it. Lightning will not strike you.
