A comment about the great Chris Leak in Captain's thread brought this to mind as I thought, "Did Chris Leak throw the best looking passes I'd ever seen as a Gator?"

Whoever we land on should be the 100 out of a 1-100 scale. We could start an entire other thread about who threw the worst ball.

The first three that come to mind before I turn it over to everyone else:

The aforementioned Leak, who threw the ball so well, I would parody him admiring those beauts like an artist steps back from the easel to observe.

Shane Matthews: Threw a very pretty ball, though I may have been punch drunk from the Kyle Morris/Herbert Perry/Donald Douglas era just before.

John Reaves: JR to Carlos, baby! Also, not surprisingly, came back to UF with Spurrier and worked with Mr. Shane Matthews.

Who ya got?

(Note to admins) - Feel free to edit (as long as you do it well) the title - couldn't come up with a suitable synonym for pretty that best described what I wanted to survey.

Leak always threw tight spirals, think Grossman did as well.

Thought about Rexy, and great point in his time under Spurrier, but points off for the Zook/EZ season, where he looked like he was crapping the football out his backside rather than when HBC had his foot up Grossman's butt to make sure he executed correctly.

Leak had that perfect form. I still say that he would have been a PERFECT SOS QB............as it was he had some amazing stats playing for 3 different Offens. Coordinators...........

Not clear on the criteria applied. Are you referring to how clean and tight the throws were or whether they found the target perfectly?

I ask because if you are referring to appearance only then you have to include guys like Driskel and Kyle Morris.

Rexy was the best combination of appearance and results if you are including all factors

Danny.
Leak.
Then it gets tough.

Rexy, Shane, Kerwin and Reaves could all fight for the #3 spot.

Anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. Just saying...

Danny? The dude put the ball where it needed to go, but it was anything but pretty.

Thought Doug Johnson threw a perfect pass. He forced it a lot ... would throw too hard sometimes ... but that ball was perfect with zip every time.

I would say clean/tight and accurate accurately describes the category.

Good call on Dougie - maybe takes too big of a hit for not being national championship caliber, but definitely had the arm for it.
