That's about the only kind of news I want to hear out of Tampa. When he is gone, I might be a fan again.

New/different coaching staff, same POS QB. The Sucs should have gotten rid of Rapeis Winston either last season or the season before.

Tank for Tua...there will be a couple others as well. I loathe Winston as a human and as a crappy QB. Nothing but excuses made for this guy his whole time in Tampa. Pathetic. The fans are revolting en masse.

depending on the show yesterday on 95.3 it was either excuses are just more of the same. Tank for Tua or that kid who would have been the 1st pick this year from Oregon.

It's awful how many excuses are made for him in this town. Dude sucks at QB and as a human.

My wife is geographically committed to her “home” team. In pure classic Bucs fashion, they let hope dangle tantalizingly close into the last minutes, only to shove victory relentlessly into the jaws of defeat.

The most hilarious part of the broadcast, besides Winston’s inevitable collapse and pick-6 at the end, was when the announcers started gushing over the Bucs hiring Byron Leftwich to be Winston’s mentor.

Byron Leftwich.

In a way, it’s perfect because Leftwich was also a first round draft pick (#7) who went to a Florida NFL team (Jax) and was essentially unable to adjust to the speed and complexities of the NFL game. I don’t know if, for Leftwich, it was insufficient practice and study combined with over-reliance on physical talent or inability to translate his study, preparations and practice to games. But the bizarrely awkward implosions at key moments are eerily similar.

The major difference is I never suspected Leftwich was sociopathic. But you cannot mentor someone out of that, so no helping jaMEis there.

I still can’t believe the Bucs drafted him knowing that every Gators/Bucs fan would loathe the pick. If I had to guess, 10-15% (if not more) of Bucs fans are Gators fans.

The Bucs drafted the most despised Nole of all time. Not just b/c we couldn’t beat him, but because he’s a raping thief.

It also marginalized all the women Bucs fans also.

I don’t care if Winston became Brady 2.0, I’ll never root for my Bucs with that dip $hit under center.

The Bucs haven’t gotten a dollar from me since he was drafted, and I bet there are other Gators fans and/or women just like me.

It made bad business sense to draft a guy despised by a large % of your fan base.
